10/10This restaurant was a grateful find! Every time I travel to Geneva is a must for me. The food is delicious i authentic. And people working there are so sweet. They even remembered me from last time I went half a year ago. I highly recommend this place. Next time I visit Geneva I'll go here again.

5/10Not prepared for having the restaurant completely booked. Long service delays but worst, impact on the food quality. Raw chicken should be avoided at any cost! It's a sin because for taste and kindness of people (good ambiance anyway!) this place has a good potential

9.5/10A gem of a restaurant. We had the special Degustation platter as well as the vegetarian one. Both were generous and excellently flavorful. Be aware that you need o ask for the gluten free option if gluten is a problem. The kitchen was was happy to comply when asked. Service was charming and largely pro-active whenever possible.

9.5/10We split the 2p degustation, which is always the recommended choice at any Eritrean/ethiopian restaurant of which Geneve has many. We also opted for the kitfo supplement, which I recommend. A bit packed but great food for a great price (relative for GE)

10/10Wow we went here for lunch. Really enjoyed it, especially because the prices were reasonable. There were spicy and less spicy dishes on the menu. We enjoyed some mild (but very flavorful) dishes, with some side dishes which were a bit spicy (but not too much for even me, who doesn't enjoy very spicy food). Would recommend asking the kind waitress for information if you are wondering about spice levels. We also had the tea, was really something else. We really enjoyed how flavorful it was, especially with a bit of sugar added. I'm not very familiar with Eritrean food, but I thought the food here was more flavorful than I've had before from this kitchen in European countries. I also liked the atmosphere, it had a relaxed vibe, nice but not too loud music.

4/10The service was disappointingly slow; we waited 40 minutes for our drinks and 1h40 min for our food. Our choice of dish, the gorde-gorde, totally wasn't what we expected. We thought it'd be like tartare with a hint of whiskey, but it turned out to be giant chunks of raw meat soaked in so much whiskey that you could practically get drunk from it (my boyfriend's mouth still hurts from that whiskey; it was so strong it probably burned him). Our waitress did mention the meat would be raw, but she didn't explain it clearly. To make things worse, the sarrasin crêpe that came with it was served cold. Other diners around us also got tired of waiting for their food and just left without eating. Our waitress's attitude was somewhat off-putting, coming across as passive-aggressive and arrogant. I will never come back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

9/10A lovely evening at the Eritrean restaurant. Host was very welcoming and nice. Food was good. With the fork discount, it was very interesting price for Geneva standards. Definitely a place to go back to.

10/10First experience with Eritrean cuisine, and second experience with African cuisine in general. The degustation menu offers many specialties and all of them are worth trying. Homemade aperitif (fermented wine with honey) was also excellent. 10/10 definitely not my last time here.

10/10The service was very pleasant and the food excellent! Waiting time was a little long but it is possible to order dishes in advance to go faster. Some dishes are only available to order. You can choose to eat each dish individually, or share everything in the middle of the table. And they're gluten-free on request!

9.5/10We had a great evening at Hidmona with delicious food and a very attentive service. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed trying a number of different dishes at once. It was also nice to see the dish being finished right at the table. The homemade tea is highly recommended and pairs well with the food.

9.5/10Very nice new restaurant in Pâquis area with good and tasty Eritrean food. After 8pm they start coffee ceremony. Only one small hiccup - tables and chairs are very authentic but don’t give you much comfort. But they have a big terrace also.
