2/10Am not sure to understand why this place has good reviews...only shows that the people who ve eaten here have no idea what indian/nepal/Bhutan food is supposed to taste. This is yet another wasted indian restaurant in the Hague! Went for my birthday....the worst dining experience..empty, cold restaurant, no atmosphere, or music, owners, had closed up and just sitting silently waiting for us to leave!! Food..Briyani is just savoury rice and shreds of meat!!!! Shreds, this is what makes it a nice rip off... best the restaurant says "we dont cater for for diners who know indian food". So, another rip off... paneer tika on menu... on your plate... tiny cubes of paneer fried (!)in thick chickpea flour paste!! So a sort of bad pakaora! no really! As if we don't know food , so you serve any nonsense!!!As for winter... forget it.. it's a freezing cold place. We even said tons of times it's so cold in here... she shrugged. We were harassed why did we not finish the food.worst bday dining exp.

Thank you for your thoughts about your visit. I am sorry your birthday evening did not feel special. You arrived when many guests had left, we kept the music soft for a calm atmosphere. When you mentioned the cold, we checked the heating, which was at its highest, but the window corner naturally feels cooler in winter. We could have moved you to another table had you asked. Food: Our biryani and all dishes are prepared in a traditional Himalayan style, and the paneer starter should have been clearly explained. I apologise for any confusion. As cook/owner, I ensure our dishes are freshly prepared. I am trained, experienced, and enjoy my job and hold a MSc (sociology) from EUR. I regret that our polite enquiry about your unfinished soup was perceived as harassment it was only meant to improve service. We close at 10:00 pm, and you left at 9:45 pm, so the kitchen was fully open. We serves guests from all backgrounds since we opened in 2007, most leaving satisfied. Your feedback helps us improve.

3/10I have never had a worse dining experience at a restaurant. The food was completely inedible and not fit to serve. I ordered chow mein, which Nepal is known for, but they mixed curry with noodles and it had a strong smell of old oil. The chicken fritters had barely any chicken, just a lot of batter. I’ve been to over 100 restaurants, and I’ve never had such an experience. However, their service was very good. The lady serving us was kind, communicated well, and even refused to take any payment from us despite our insistence. I truly respect that gesture of kindness. Still, they really need to work on improving their food and serving dishes that are edible. I sincerely wish them good luck.

Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly pleased to know that you appreciated the service provided by our staff, though we are very sorry that our food did not meet your expectations. As the chef of this restaurant for the past 18 years, I take great pride in preparing authentic Nepalese, Bhutanese, Indian, and other dishes with the utmost care. On the evening of your visit, you only ordered two appetisers—Chow Mein and Chicken Pakora. While appetisers are usually served only alongside main dishes, we were happy to accommodate your request and serve them as your full meal. Because you had ordered just two appetisers, we even prepared a larger portion so that your meal would feel closer to a proper dinner for two. We would also like to respectfully clarify a few points: Oil quality: We never reuse cooking oil. All dishes are prepared with fresh, bottled sunflower oil. Chow Mein preparation: Chow Mein is a versatile Himalayan dish, and its style varies across culture

10/10Lovely friendly little restaurant with truly excellent authentic food. We were nine adults and a 2-year-old and just asked the incredibly nice proprietor to choose and bring enough food for all of us. He chose brilliantly. The curries were delicious and came with beautiful bread. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended. Would go back in a flash.

10/10Restaurant and food brought me straight back to India! Although it’s more than that as the owners is from Nepalese-Buthanese origin and so is the complete menu, but I’ve never been in these countries myself. Certainly worth a visit!

8.5/10Excellent food. The aromas and tastes make this a place to come back to. The waitperson is attentive and helpful. The ambiance is nothing special, a little uninteresting at best - but the food is fantastic and that's what we came for - and will come for again.

3.5/10The paneer tikka was not a paneer tikka it was paneer pakora. The lamb tikka was totally dry and over cooked. Paneer makhani was with such small pieces of pNeer and over sweetened. We went there to have momos but they were not available. Also when we made the reservation we added the note that we will need 2 baby chairs but only one was available ut nobody connected us. In total we spend a high amount of money for food which was really not worth it. Unfortunately we wasted our time and money. Not worth a second visit.
