The food was incredible. Plate after plate of delicious Portuguese food. We should have slowed down the petisco, the mains were extraordinary.

The best time for dinner. Gabriella was the best waitress we have ever had and made sure our experience was a 10! Pedro was so fun and engaging. He loves his customers and spends so much time to ensure everyone experiences the best restaurant in Portugal and maybe ever!

We were looking on line for a recommended restaurant to celebrate my wife@s Birthday-and found H.B. -i BOOKED FOR A 7PM table and we were slightly early the restaurant was not officially open but the staff made us very welcome we opted for Restsurant Recommendation foe everything andd were absolutely delighted with everything from start to finish -our waitress was efficient and enjoyable to discuss the Various courses -within one hour the reasturant was 90% Full so book in advance - it is well worth it - Our Bill was about €230.00 which included the most incredible wine (all recommended ) and was well worth the cost If I am in Lisbon again I will certainly return

Horta dos Brunos is one of the best Portuguese restaurants. Wonderful ambience, delicious simple food, lovely staff, and amazing wine list. Honestly a great place.

My 4th time here. Portuguese food done sensationally. Although there is a menu let the chef just keep bringing you dishes Portuguese style. We had 6 courses- including omelette, clams, rabbit, polvo and the best tuna steak ever tasted followed by sliced rib eye steak and dessert selection Not cheap (€100 per head plus wine) but worth every penny for a special occasion. Extensive wine list just tell them what you want to pay for a bottle and they bring suggestions to your table. Great fun staff and owner/chef- the best high end Portuguese food in Lisbon

The food is simply stellar and worth to be tried. I strongly suggest tuna streak. A little bit overpriced (190 euro in 2 with 37 euro of wine, tomato salad as entry and 2 second courses, no dessert, whisky).

We’ve been to this charming, cozy restaurant before. It is consistently a wonderful experience, with good food and a great staff and atmosphere. Let your waiter recommend your wine. 🍷 You won’t be disappointed in discovering a new excellent bottle.

We didn´t know that the menu is a choice of the chef in that day. There were no menu to make choices, but some sugestion of the staff. But the simpathy of the waiters compensted the surprise. Good place to go.

What an amazing place! Everyone made us feel at home even though we speak no Portuguese; including inviting our 9 year old daughter to help cook! The chef/owner was a host to everyone in this hidden gem where the food was amazing and the wine fantastic. The best tuna I've ever had and then steak that melted in your mouth. It's in a great neighbourhood off the beaten path and was truly special. And good value for the evening we had. Highly recommend.

Perhaps the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Multi course meal and some items were just brought to my wife and I. To be honest wasn’t quite sure what was going on. But soon I did not care because everything was outstanding. And the service and ambiance were fun and fantastic. Small place, maybe seats 30, but people at every table were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Just go you won’t regret it.

Everything was fantastic except the loud obnoxious family with spoiled kids . Glad they finally left . Not the restaurants fault just parents that cant parent .

The quality of the food and service was exquisite. Even though we spoke little Portuguese, the chef and wonderful waitress made us feel like regulars, no, more like family. We left it to our waitress to pick our choices and everything was superb. Her wine choices were perfect. Our only regret is that we ate and drank too much! Fortified for climbing the hills of Lisbon.

Excellent dinner - premium food ingredients cooked in a careful way to please you with each bit you take. Plus amazing wines. The service is really nice and you do not need to even wonder what to eat - you just get served the dishes basis what was available on the market on the day!

From the moment we entered the restaurant we were given personal service and attention. The evening began with my wife having the honor of opening the champagne with a sword and cutting off the cork. Amazing experience. The food was amazing and well presented. We were given special treatment as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We took the advice of others and took the recommendations of the wait staff and were very pleased. All in all a great experience and a great way to celebrate our anniversary. A very memorable end to our stay in Lisbon. Great job!

Beyond expectations

The food was quite good. I had the sea bass which was cooked to absolute perfection, probably the best sea bass I've ever had. However, the vegetables that came with the fish were so over cooked they were mush, which is why I gave the food only a "good" rating.

This was an outstanding experience with a by the chef menu of typical appetisers and followed by some of the best tuna and beef I have had for a long time. Also excellent the recommended wines were at reasonable prices. One of my new favourites in Lisbon!.
