One of my friends and I's favorite spots in Bologna. Perfect location and wonderful food, all priced super reasonably. The kindest and most accommodating staff as well- it's always a delight.

+1Ideal place for a nice traditional Italian dinner with first and second dishes. We took taglietelle ragu & fungi as primo, bolognese cutlet and pork ribs as secondo piatti. Pasta bolognese was good, also good portions but pasta fungi could have been better. Main dishes were nice only cutlet was a bit chewy.

The staff was very courteous and welcoming and the restaurant seems to be a nice setup with tables both inside and outside with heaters to keep you warm during winters. It was a comfortable visit given that the place wasn’t very crowded, it being winters. I am a little disappointed with the food because I was expecting a lot more given the reviews and ratings for the place. We might have also set the bar too high with our expectations because we had an amazing lunch at a restaurant in San Marino. Nevertheless, both, my partner and me, found the food to be a straight 7/10 for the Mixed Meat Platter, Carbonara and the Eggplant Parmegiana. My only complaint is that, in our billing we were charged €5.5 for Parmesan flakes which we thought was served complementary given that it was a requirement for our order of Eggplant and Carbonara. It would have been great if we were just given a heads-up of it being chargeable, while it was being served. Give it a try and share your own opinion.

Our server was very kind and likeable and I liked the vibe of the restaurant, the food was great too but I felt like the flavour of the sauce was a bit too strong. I'll gladly come back!

So here is my take; Pros: the barman who was responsible of payments, was very kind. Cons: 1)cotoletta bolognese was pampered a lot, the waiter even said that “ours is better than the ones you had before”, I heard that he was being bossy to my friend before I arrived there. Even if we are at similar age, that shouldn’t be a reason to interact with your client in a way as if you know these people for years, just plain fake friendliness. Anyways, he was going on explaining how the cotoletta was made, which I didn’t even ask and actually replied “yes I know what it is” but he proceeded to give us the gist. Continuing, the cotoletta was exactly half of what it should have been, as in size. Also, he mentioned that there was parmigiano added into the cream, neither me nor my friend tasted it. The only good thing about the dish was the prosciutto crudo on the cotoletta, funnily enough was the only thing that wasn’t prepared in house. 2) lasagne bolognese, was decent, nothing special. 3) tagliatelle al ragù, was decent aswell. So the verdict is: if a place provides a quality experience, the prices must be high. But here the price, although not high, still doesn’t justify. I had many better dishes at different places at a similar rate.

Good food, but nothing spectacular. We have let the waiter know about the Fork reservation and we have been asked to sit on a different table near the entrace instead of the one we have initially invitated to sit.

Very home-like food, good. Polpette are very good, cotoletta bolognese is not at its best, but it's good. The pasta dishes are not top, but decent. Good friggione, not too salty, and good potatoes. We had a discount, therefore we ended there. Would I come back? I am not sure...

The food was not great, we were told to sit outside though there were seats inside (and we had asked to sit inside), even the discount doesn’t make up for the quality of the dishes, sadly

The best part of the restaurant was the service, the waiter Francesco was very nice and always attentive. The food came quick, it was good, especially the ragu and the tiramisu. They say they don't have tap water as a way to make us pay for the water, that is filled from the tap and put into a bottle. In general, it was good but could definitely be better.

Had lunch - tortellini in brodo, assaggio di mortadella and vitello tonnato, everything was OK, nothing special but OK. Probably wouldn’t be my choice if not 50% discount offered by The Fork.

Not sure what to make of this one. When we arrived we were about to be shown a table and when I said we'd booked, the waiter asked if it was through the fork and when I said yes we were seated at a different table and I couldn't swear to it but I think we were given a different coloured menu. I asked if we could sit where he was first going to place us but he said no. Nothing foodwise was overpriced altho we were charged 6 euros each for 1 bottle of sparkling water which had been decanted and was semi flat. The food was ok but I couldn't honestly say it was better than that. Shame really. The wine was lovely though.

This is the best place I ate in without a doubt. Don’t be fooled if the next restaurant has more people. This small place has the perfect tasty food and a very friendly service. When I come back to Bologna I’ll definitely eat here again. Me and my friends were very impressed.

We were dying to try traditional Bologna dishes. This was the perfect spot. The food was excellent but, Francesco was the star of the night. Really good food accompanied by really good staff makes a great meal.

The food was very tasty, we had tagliatelle al ragu and tortellini with parmigiano cream. Tiramisu was the best I ate so far. Staff friendly and dedicated. Francesco is the best waiter. We had a great time here, Definitely recommended.
