10/10I have been to the restaurant three times now - twice last week and once two years ago. Delicious food, very good service and excellent wine list. Have no hesitation in recommending it. The menu has a wide selection and there are specials too - all in all there will be something to suit the most discerning of tastes.

10/10I was hoping to find a charming, authentic Italian restaurant off the main drag for my birthday and we were not disappointed! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Very helpful with the menu. There seemed to be mostly locals (perffeto!). Just what we were looking for. The food was excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in getting away from the crowds.

8/10Warm welcome. Booking gave us the chance to be by a window. Very Italian so be prepared to work things out. My order was taken quickly & I realised I’d forgotten to order potatoes to go with my steak: no problem as the chef quickly adjusted & they arrived. We shared a smoked salmon bruschetta: the best salmon we’ve had in years! Sweet: shared a homemade pannecotte. Superb. Wine was lovely too, Nebbiolo.

10/10I had my last lunch in Lago del Garda at Hosteria Croce d'Oro. And it couldn't have been better. Excellent food, nice wine suggestion, impeccable service and courtesy that I had never found in any restaurant I'd been to. So it happens, my wife and I were on a short schedule. We needed to catch a train right after lunch. As it was a Sunday, we couldn't find a taxi, neither calling nor on the street. That's when the owner of Hosteria Croce d'Oro became our garding angel. She noticed our distress, tried to call a cab and when we run out of time, she decided to take us there, personally, in her own car. She saved the day. Thank you, once more. So, even if you don't have to go on a hurry to the train station, go to Hosteria Croce d'Oro. I promise you'll eat great pasta, drink a glass of nice wine and have a very good experience.

9.5/10We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our anniversary meal. Our young waiter was so knowledgeable and customer focused we left the desert choice to him. The food quality was excellent and we would certainly recommend this ossetia to anyone.

10/10We went as a family of four. Lovely place, fantastic food and wonderful service and very reasonably priced. We haven’t visited Italy for 18years so our Italian was not great yet the waitress was very patient and helped us choose a lovely meal. The restaurant is slightly set back from the main strip at the lake but it was nice to take a walk away from the hustle and bustle and see some of the other parts of Desenzano. We would highly recommend!

10/10A very warm evening, but this was our first choice for our first evening meal. We didn’t regret our decision, so good, amazing fresh pasta, homemade desserts. Just wonderful. You need to reserve your table it’s popular.

9.5/10Ambiance only 4 as restaurant was v quiet. We loved the place and food and had it recommended by the owner of the apartments. Lush home made pasta. Best ragu we have had and my husband’s dessert with a local drink was just gorgeous!

10/10A traditional Italian restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The smoked salmon bruschetta was the highlight of the dinner for me, probably the best smoked salmon I ever had. The service is informal and very friendly, would definitely recommend it.

6.5/10The family run restaurant is a great find and the welcome by the staff was fantastic, very personal and friendly. It was a Tuesday night, so the restaurant was quiet, with only 3 tables occupied, but this suited us. However, although the food was good and the menu interesting, some aspects could have been better, considering it was not full. My ravioli stuffed with sea bass tasted great, but for me, the pasta was slightly over cooked. The deer filets I ordered came with vegetables (unknown to me), so I ordered a plate of grilled vegetables, which was a waste. The asparagus was cold and the food could have been generally warmer. My wife had ravioli stuffed with roe deer, which was very tasty but again, the pasta was in our opinion again slightly over cooked. Staff were very helpful and listened to our wishes.

10/10Great flavors, very good and sofisticated food! We had brushetta with smoked duck, tuna carpaccio and both a pasta with tartufo. We shares some dessert. Lovely bottle of prosecco to join. All the pasta’s are homemade. Tuna was very fresh. And they had a simple but tasty pasta for our 7 year old. This restaurant problably is one of our most favorites in town. Nice area to. Don’t miss this!
