8/10The food is amazing, but with ordering done via a tablet, there's almost no interaction with the staff. They served the food and drinks quickly and were pleasant, but I missed the personal touch. If you're after great authentic fast food, this is the place for you. However, if you want fun and engagement for a special occasion, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

5/10For a long time, my friends and I really like to go to hot king to have dinner, mainly for the delicious food. But, this time when we go, we find out that the tastes are totally different. I have no idea whether there are changes of chefs or whether because of prepaid dishes. But I will say totally dissatisfied.

8.5/10It's one of my favorite restaurants from Chinatown. The food is authentic and delicious. The service is in a class of its own: you get the ordered drink in less than 30sec. They also have an elegant ambiance which is not that common with Chinese restaurants.

7/10The dish Sichuan Boiled Fish, or shui zhu yu in Chinese was not spicy at all, even though we chose normal level spicy. Other dishes were authentic.

10/10We hardly go to Chinatown to look for food, but this restaurant was highly recommended by a friend. On my first visit, I impressed with the overall ambience and food quality. The food portion was generous and very extremely "ma la" and tasty. I would recommend to anyone who would like to try a different chinese cuisine, We have so far dined at Hot King three times already, will definitely be back. For those who like hot pot, do check with the restaurant if you need to order in advance, we brought a friend recently to dine, and to our disappointment, their hot pot was "sold out" very quickly.

9.5/10Glad to discover this restaurant in the heart of Chinatown Den Haag, awesome cuisine, a must go to place if one prefers to try other types of chinese cuisine other than the usual HK dimsum, chinese dishes.

10/10A great restaurant. The decor is beautiful and elegant. The food is delicious, the cuisine is that of Szechuan, but there are also many classical Chinese dishes. The waiters are attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

9.5/10Very nice traditional Chinese restaurant. Prices are good, portions are large. Recommend to buy 2 to 3 dishes for two person dinner. Also recommend to reserve in advance.

6/10We’ve been there a couple times. Usually the food is great and the staff is so so. This time our crispy fried beans were cold and not crispy. The food generally wasnt as tasteful as it normally is. Hopefully just a bad day in the kitchen.

8/10Beef and lamb are bit over cooked, and the drink is pricey ( a pot of tea is €7 but other Chinese restaurants I have been to in nl all are below €5, since it’s just some tea leaves with boiled water, I consider €7 is too much). For the rest is nice.

6.5/10A lot of choice on menu. Taste is authentic. Food is nice but pretty salty even I like strong taste for food. Atmosphere is good. Waited so long for our rice until half dishes is gone and asked for 2times. The second dish took so long to arrive. One of the young staffs looked like unhappy under her tone while serving. Even after offering tips for her(I mean for all staffs) in cash after putting a wrong pin into the machine for paying the bill of our orders. She just turned around after taking the coins with her... I regretted right after that ????I wish she will put all tips into the tips box. Never feel like did a wrong thing after offering tips for service staffs because I think good service deserves to be appreciated by extra money. Even it is just small money.

7/10Maybe it’s because we didn’t know what combination of dishes to order, but every dish was so incredibly Sichuan that they all started to taste the same and our mouths just went completely numb. I can’t say that was enjoyable. The seafood was of good quality, but again the flavour profile was the same - oily spicy with the aniseed-y Sichuan flavour. I really missed some variation and depth to the dishes. The restaurant was beautiful though, and so was the presentation of the dishes. And please just give people extra white rice and tap water for free. Your dishes are >€30 pp why be so nitpicky. C’mon.

9.5/10Having Sichuan food in the Netherlands for the first time - what a lovely surprise! Staff were helpful and service was good. We ordered a few dishes to try - the sliced pork belly with garlic sauce was refreshing and appetizing, and we had the beef in chilli soup as the main course which had the authentic Sichuan taste. Really enjoyed the numbing sensation. The stir fry shredded potato was a surprise - very crunchy with a kick in the spice! Highly recommended if you want authentic Sichuan food.

8/10Contemporary Chinese restaurant atmosphere, dishes were quite fresh and quickly served. Service was ok too, but not much option for special drinks (bubble tea re only served cold and very much overpriced), very few wine and desert option. Could be better. Overall pretty decent. 7/10

9/10I can't speak to the authenticity of the food but it was delicious. The portions are large as well and the service was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had also been well setup to accommodate diners during this pandemic.

10/10Love this restaurant! I was there for the 2nd time. First with my friends and 2nd with my family. They all loved it. The ambience was great, the manager was really friendly and helpful. great hospitality i must say ( you don't experience this much in a chinese restaurant, sorry). We loved the food. We are food explorers and i am so glad to have found this sichuan restaurant. The place is clean. So there u get a 10! Thank you guys for making it a beautiful experience for me and family.
