Such a treat to find Hugo - lovely welcome to this small but friendly place. Not too many delicious choices to eat so we weren’t overwhelmed, cosy and not noisy ambience to make one’s shoulders go down. Cannot recommend enough.

Food is amazing. And the quality for the price is difficult to beat in Paris. We will come back.

A neighborhood institution offering honest and plentiful (by Parisian standards) cooking. No pretentions, just the kind of place that used to account for a lot of Paris's reputation and is now hard to find.

In a city filled with excellent restaurants, Hugo was deeply disappointing. The food was frankly indifferent and did not justify the over £100 price for two of us, and the service was patchy at best. It may have been an “off night” for us, which would explain the otherwise high ratings. For myself, I’d say that you could do so much better, and cheaper, elsewhere, without too much effort of searching.

Hugo is a family-run business, meaning all the good things that entails. They genuinely care about the customers and their opinions. We had to make adjustments to the plat du jour due to an allergy. No problem. Everything we tried was excellent.

Yummy food with a fun atmosphere which is perfect for a good dinner with friends and family. The service is also perfect with waitresses that give you a nice feeling. Perfect and I would definitely recommend 😆😋🍔

Beautiful restaurant with great ambience. Our waitress was wonderful and was a plus that she spoke English. Food was delicious and the homemade desserts were incredible to finish off. A perfect Christmas dinner meal!

The food and service were truly excellent. We enjoyed it very, very much. The only downside (and it’s only a downside during the summer) is the fact that the A/C is tiny and probably 20+ years old, so it was HOT inside.

If you are looking for a special place to eat, don't hesitate to visit Hugo. For me and my wife was one of the best experiences in Paris

It was a very quiet evening with only a couple of diners so we were a little worried. However the food was amazing - my husband tried the snails and steak and I tried the salmon tartar and pan fried prawns! The tiramisu and creme brulee were also fabulous! The waitress also let my husband sample lots of wines and was very helpful. Service was a little slow but that may just be the French way 😊

Charming yet unpretentious, inviting and warm, Hugo is a little gem in the 9th. And the food—DELICIOUS. The service was relaxed and helpful, and accommodated our requests for extra salad. We highly recommend this spot for a haute teed hood meal that will leave you smiling.
