In a city filled with excellent restaurants, Hugo was deeply disappointing. The food was frankly indifferent and did not justify the over £100 price for two of us, and the service was patchy at best. It may have been an “off night” for us, which would explain the otherwise high ratings. For myself, I’d say that you could do so much better, and cheaper, elsewhere, without too much effort of searching.

Hugo is a family-run business, meaning all the good things that entails. They genuinely care about the customers and their opinions. We had to make adjustments to the plat du jour due to an allergy. No problem. Everything we tried was excellent.

Yummy food with a fun atmosphere which is perfect for a good dinner with friends and family. The service is also perfect with waitresses that give you a nice feeling. Perfect and I would definitely recommend 😆😋🍔

Beautiful restaurant with great ambience. Our waitress was wonderful and was a plus that she spoke English. Food was delicious and the homemade desserts were incredible to finish off. A perfect Christmas dinner meal!

The food and service were truly excellent. We enjoyed it very, very much. The only downside (and it’s only a downside during the summer) is the fact that the A/C is tiny and probably 20+ years old, so it was HOT inside.

It was a very quiet evening with only a couple of diners so we were a little worried. However the food was amazing - my husband tried the snails and steak and I tried the salmon tartar and pan fried prawns! The tiramisu and creme brulee were also fabulous! The waitress also let my husband sample lots of wines and was very helpful. Service was a little slow but that may just be the French way 😊

Charming yet unpretentious, inviting and warm, Hugo is a little gem in the 9th. And the food—DELICIOUS. The service was relaxed and helpful, and accommodated our requests for extra salad. We highly recommend this spot for a haute teed hood meal that will leave you smiling.

It was our second time this year at Hugo, which is around the corner from our hotel. The food and wine are really delicious, the service excellent and plenty of options for my daughter and I who are gluten free. I highly recommend.

Small, 20 +/- seats. One server who was excellent and maybe 2 staff in the kitchen. The menu was diverse. We started with the salmon Tartare which had a wonderful flavor that I was previously unfamiliar with but which we loved. My wife had a beautiful shellfish dish, and I had a piece of beef, cooked exactly as I asked for it and with a marvelous sauce of fois gras. They cut and fry the chips just before bring served. The room has soft but very enjoyable blues playing throughout the evening. The server could not have been more professional. Congratulations on serving a wonderful meal and delivering an really wonderful dinner experience.

Hugo is a quaint little restaurant along a quiet street which gives it a lovely ambience. The food was great as well as the wine, and the hall manager was really friendly as well. Overall really satisfied with the experience! Thank you Hugo.
