4/10Area is fairly dead. Food was ok but we ordered the meat and cheese board and they couldn’t even tell us what kinds of meat or cheese were on it. Shrimp risotto was a bit undercooked. Overall disappointing especially considering the cost. Many other better places in Rome.

10/10I Goliardi Roma was a perfect spot for dinner on our last night in Rome. A short walk from our hotel and open at 6:00 PM. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. The wine list is broad and fairly priced.

10/10We enjoyed our evening at this restaurant which was conveniently located to our hotel. The food was amazing, the wine selection was good and the owner was attentive and friendly. We would definitely return.

10/10This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rome. I have dreams of the Le Chicche (a creamy truffle gnocchi). The staff is wonderful, the chef is a culinary wonder, and I adore the ambiance.

9/10Small, popular restaurant full of Italians. Our pasta dishes were lovely if a little salty. Service was very good although I would have preferred the waiter not to switch to English every time we spoke Italian. I found that a little rude.

9/10Nice ambiance and good food. Several menu items were not available, in some cases up to 50% of a given category (primi piatti, i.e. pasta dishes, as well as deserts) , which was disappointing, . We did not get to taste at least 3 of our top choices.

10/10A great restaurant with a delightful owner and an imaginative menu that focuses on food from Piedmonte. There are some typical Roman dishes, but the real winners are the Piedmontese choices. We started with a charcuterie board that was excellent. The owner wrote down the type of cheese so we could look for it in the store. Then, we had steak, pork and lamb and they were delicious with beautiful presentation. Prices are reasonable and the wine list is extensive. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and never seemed too loud, even as it filled up. It’s also located on a cool looking street. This was a perfect change from the carbonara and amatriciana that we’ve been enjoying the past week. We will definitely be back.

10/10We fell into a tourist trap and ate at a restaurant close to our hotel and the food was rubbish so after lots of research we came here and it did not disappoint. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The best food we have had during our time in Rome. I am really surprised this doesn’t have more recognition but this also is what made our experience as it wasn’t overcrowded or rushed. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

5.5/10Very overpriced wine and a bit the food. Food just usual, like from cafe not restraint, thanks it has a taste. Plain interior. I searched it in Google and I think it is hugely overrated.

8.5/10We liked that this place was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. Service was good we thought. We were served by at least 2 people from our food to our wine. I started with a magna couda (sp?) which was quite good as it was a different take on the dish as usually, as I understand, involves fresh veggies instead of a flan. My partner had a pasta with deer ragu that he liked.... I had what the menu called "Roast beef with gravy and semolina." As it was a "secoundi" I expected it to be more than what it was. It turned out to be nothing more than very thinly sliced beef, carpaccio, and not much of it with a few drops of gravy here and there. Maybe 6 little cubes of something dusted with polenta scattered on the plate. For 22 euros, I felt a bit ripped off for such a small serving and for what I thought was going to be a main....not an appetizer!

10/10An incredible find in a quiet corner of central Rome. Lovely service and chat from all the staff, in excellent English too. Amazing food and great wine recommendations for half the price of what you would pay in London. A great place I would love to go back to.

10/10This is a wonderful restaurant. The food was presented beautifully and everything was superbly prepared. We had the pumpkin soup, a Piedmont region pasta, the most tender veal we had ever had and a special dessert for which the Piedmont area of Italy is known.

10/10Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. The owner and waiter were great and very helpful. You can feel their hospitality! The meat and cheese board was presented beautifully and everything on it was very tasty. The Pasta Amatriciana was perfectly cooked and sauced. The pork shank was fall off the bone tender and delicious. Desserts were outstanding. We will be back before we leave Rome!

9.5/10I Goliardi Roma is down the street from the Marriott Grand Flora and my wife and I thought we give it a try after our search of restaurants near by. To our surprise, the food was excellent. The risotto with truffles and cheese was delicious. The grilled octopus was so tender and perfect. The gnocchi was good and the ribs with chocolate sauce were tasty. We had a great meal and the service was excellent. The owner was attentive and showed a lot of care to how they serve customers. Overall, we give I Goliardi 5 stars for service and excellent dishes. A great addition to the good food we enjoyed in Rome.

10/10This is a gem of a restaurant that we could see literally from the window of our hotel. Excellent pasta and tripe were part of a lengthy eclectic menu with lots of choices for game, beef, fish and pasta. We expect to go again before we leave. The host/server was elegant and charming which made the evening extra special.
