Another incredible dinner at Ignite. This is our favourite italian place in Haarlem. Pizza and pasta are delicious. They have nice cocktails. And prices are very affordable compared with other places. They suprised us with a dessert when we mentioned we are celebrating a birthday. We fully enjoyed our time at Ignite. We would like to thank the staff for the exemplary service. We will be back :)

Ignite does things different than a traditional Dutch cliche of an Italian restaurant. Lovely location and fresh color/environment. Menu is more traditional which is nice for people who like to be on the safe side and a limited selection of food and drinks. Does not strive for Michelin stars but does not have to. Real Italian people put love in food. And the quality of the food is good for the price. Pizza was tasty, and dessert with limoncello and lemon ice a success.

The place is an excellent location in the city center but it's quite dark. As a native Italian I was shocked to see meat mixed with pasta (although my wife liked it and the meat was good quality).what shocked me the most though was mayo on my pizza! Big no no! Moreover we asked for tap water (free in the Netherlands) and instead we got two really small bottle of water for 3.25 euros each. There are better Italian restaurants and pizzerias nearby so I will avoid this one in the future

For starters, we ordered focaccia which was delicious. Then we ordered a pizza that was pretty good. All ingredients and the dough were excellent. I really liked the service, everything came in the proper order, and with a reasonable amount of time in between so we could enjoy the starters, main dish, and dessert well.
