10/10Ikaro is a tiny place with four tables, ten plates, by the open kitchen. We are soon fast friends with owner-chef Pasquale. His only menu is a chalk board that he passionately presents, offering to customize any dish, and demonstrates his attention to detail in every description. Soon we are enjoying plump, sweet fresh oysters with lime and jalapeño Tabasco. (We may not be able to get oysters this good in Maryland, but from now on we will have them with lime and jalapeno Tabasco and remember these perfect oysters.) Then Pasquale brings artichoke hearts tempura, a local dish, crunchy on the outside, sweet and creamy on the inside. Then al dente linguine with a generous topping of lobster, clams, mussels and a plate of sweet scallops sautéed in ginger. Although we did not have room we found room for a perfectly balanced firm tira misu in stem glass globe with crunchy macadamia nuts. All the time we were enjoying Pasquale’s company and were laughing together for a couple of hours.

7/10Service and atmosphere are nice. Food is overpriced and below average for French cuisine standards. The gap between price and food quality is gigantic.

Where do I begin ? The food, the wine, and or the service. All phenomenal. The chef made us feel as he was cooking for friends. He made some unique dishes for us (the tempura octopus was amazing). I would go back every night if we could! I highly recommend the restaurant for anyone that is looking for some delicious food and a great vibe !

10/10Went there last week…it was fantastic! Chef Pascale makes everything personal which we loved. His ability to bring out the flavors of the food complements the high quality of the ingredients he has chosen. Plus, he offers individualized changes to suit your desires! Wow! So good! We came back the next week for another incredible dinner! You should too!!

6/10The entrees we had were excellent, though expensive they were worth the price. However the main courses were disappointing. My Thon was cooked too dry and it was tasteless and could have used a sauce. My wife's Blanquette de Veau was just average. Just before the mains arrived the Manager was pouring our wine and dropped the bottle mouth down onto the table, spilling wine across the table, on my wife's IPad, and onto the floor but luckily missing her clothes. He wiped it up and made a joke out of it, but no apology. Accidents can happen and there was no real harm done except the loss of about a glassful of wine. However, normally you would expect at least an apology and a glass of wine to replace what was lost, but strangely there was no offer of any kind. We found this careless and poor service.

7/10The food was ok. Started with salmon and mango, which was really good. One of the main dish, with truffle was a quite boring, and truffle did not taste much. The other main dish with seafood was very good. Found them very expensive on wine and beer. Cheapest glass of wine €12, beer €9, cheapest bottle of wine €44. Got 50% on The Fork, but total price was at least what i normally would expect to pay for the quality. So had a feeling the 50% discount was adjusted in the price.

I also like ferrari and Lamborghini but I don’t go to they salon to say that their cars are expensive, I just don’t go in exclusive place if I don’t have the budget, you got 50% off so u are very lucky.

10/10Best meal by far in Nice. Chef was amazing, checked on us constantly, looked after everyone’s tastes and was fun to be around. The food choices change daily depending on ingredients. Grilled octopus and tuna were amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and a really fun and lively vibe. We felt like part of the family and just wished we had discovered this restaurant earlier in our trip. Secret tip - chef’s mother makes amazing cakes! Leave room!!
