10/10We had a wonderful lunch at Il Baccanale. We live in Umbria half of the year for the past 10 years so we have eaten in many restaurants and Il Baccanale exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and brought to our table. The menu was explained to us in both English and Italian. The pasta dishes as well as the prochetta was spectacular. At the end of our lunch we were given a complimentary digestive. We were not rushed at all , in fact , we were told by the waiter to relax, take our time and let them know when we would like a coffee . As we left my husband and I looked at each other and said we felt like we were treated like we were regulars. We would definitely return.

10/10Small quaint restaurant with true wall from Roman ruins. We went twice we loved it so much. The owner gives a hyper-local history class for a few minutes to all who are present. The food is Umbrian with a Baccanale twist. Excellent spice and deep taste. Love this place.

10/10Great service with a nice atmosphere and the owner taking the time to explain the setting and story of the restaurant premises. The whole menu is available also in a gluten free version. Food was tasty and big sized!

10/10All of our meals were delicious. Kids (16 and 21) and husband still rave about their gnocchi. Said they were the best they've ever had. Very good wine selection as well including local wines.

8.5/10We where sited in a table that was situated in outside of the dining hall it was disappointing. The service was slow we got the cold cuts and cheese plater, almost half an hour after we got the wine. On the other side, the food was great especially the pasta dishes.

Excellent restaurant in Assisi - the food, the survive Excellent restaurant in Assisi - the food, the service, and the experience were wonderful. My wife is a Celiac and the care and attention to safety were impressive. The charcuterie board and the porchetta were outstanding. Overall, this was a great meal to end our day trip to Assisi.

9.5/10The gluten free and vegan options were amazing! I had the most delicious, earthy and comforting cup of soup with lentils, greens, and fresh hearty bread. The celery root cutlets were inventive, crunchy on the exterior, dense and 'meaty' inside. Surprising! My dining partner loved the porchetta with caramelized red onions, sauteed greens, drizzled with grape must reduction. Delightful meal, ambiance, and experience! Beautiful wines to pair. Highly recommended!

10/10Very interesting menu, cool little restaurant just a minute or two outside of the busy center. The staff is extremely nice and very knowledgeable about the food and wine. The wine selection is eclectic and features local producers; the wines are described, explained and recommended and (IMO) excellent. The quality of the food s excellent and the flavors even better. During our visit (lunchtime - holiday) it got pretty busy and service was a bit slow but this was ok as it afforded time to look, chat, etc. At the restaurant there is a mini-pantry where the customer can purchase spreads, sauces, oil, etc. One can also purchase the excellent wines. COVID security protocols were rigorously followed. Prices were very reasonable.

5.5/10Went for a dinner. Starters were good but mains lacked a lot of taste. The insides of the restaurant were confusingly decorated. Service was decent.

10/10EVERYTHING was delicious. Hard to find but worth the visit! The porchetta was to die for! If you having an antipasto or primo, and irdering porchetta, think about splitting a portion. .

10/10fabulous food-every course, incredible veggie spread, each dish a delicacy, antipasto meats incredible, then cinghaile and homemade pasta with truffles, plus chocolate cake dessert, and the nicest, best waiter. Perfect evening! highly recommended!

10/10This was our first experience tasting wild boar sauce in pasta and we loved it. We later tried similar dishes at other restaurants but this was our favorite. We were very pleased with the service and the overall experience.

10/10I totally suggest this restaurant because I am vegan and gluten free and they had a vegan and gluten free dessert! First time in a 'normal' restaurant. The atmosphere is really pleasant and the staff very nice.
