From the location you might expect the best quality but we are always surprised how good it is, pizzas , salads all excellent. Service was efficient not special but overall this gets a great rating due to food quality an location

We had our Christmas lunch at Il Bandierino. The restaurant is located near the piazza del campo. The food was very tasty. We had three main dishes, a salad and two deserts. But the atmosphere was nt very nice, as it was too crawded. You could n't relax at all. It was too expensive. Next time only for a glass of wine.

What a delightful evening on the piazza with superb food and attentive service the charcuterie board was excellent as was the pasta with zucchini flowers

Sitting outside looking at the Sienna Piazza del Campo while eating dinner is already great but enjoying a delicious Brunello di Montalcino wine and great food at the same time is even better. I had gluten free pasta that was amazing ( thank you to the restaurant for offering that!) and my friend loved the ham, melon, and cheese appetizer plate they had. Everything was delicious.

We ordered one mixed starter to share, and 4 mains. We got 2 mains after 30 mins of ordering, and 20 mins later the starter to share, and then the other 2 mains. Service was nice and friendly. But a mess. And they added 20% to the bill!!!

I am a concierge guest host, bringing guests to Siena every week on tours through Tuscany. Il Banderino is consistently good. Although it could be considered as “touristy” as it is on The ZCampo, it is still one of my favorite places in Siena. Some of the best Pici Cacio e Pepe ANYWHERE. During tonight’s meal, a HUGE storm blew up and forced all of the al fresco diners inside. The team there quickly moved all inside and worked tirelessly to accommodate every guest! Grazie Louie for coming to our rescue!!!

Made a reservation months ago for our visit to Siena. Arrived on time and was taken through a completely empty dining room to a very stuffy upstairs that was filled with screaming children. Went back down and was told that was the only place for us to sit even though the dining room was empty but for one table. We left. Rude Staff and I'm not paying for a $200 meal to sit in the kiddie section.

Good restaurant, but very touristy and I felt like coperto and service was too much. Prices are a bit high for the area. But our food was very tasty.

We were looking for a quick bite and ended up sharing a pizza on a Saturday evening. It was busy but we got a table at 8pm on the main square. It was a little loud but overall great atmosphere and delicious food!

Upon arrival this restaurant was the busiest and we realised why soon after sitting. It created a buzz atmostphere and all the food looked amazing. Staff were friendly, vino nice and cold!

I am a guide and bring my guests to Il Banderino every week. It has a broad menu, great service and food. To be in a very "touristy" part of Siena, Banderino continues to be my "go to" for an experience in the Campo. Bravo!

They wouldn't make tables for more than 8 people so if you are more, consider going somewhere that will let you stay all together.

Good pizza but not exceptional, but the tiramisu is excellent (homemade with real italian expresso !). The location is very nice, we had dinner outside, on the very beautiful piazza del Campo. We had to ask three time for a bottle of water but unlike other customers, we had the reduction of 20% without havîng to ask for it.

The food was not bad at all, but if you compare privé and quality, you can eat a lot better elsewhere in Tuscany. Moreover, sunscreens were removed before the sun went down.

We got there and got seated immediately because of our reservations. The most difficult thing was figuring out where to park! Our table was on the campo so we had an excellent view. We sat there a while before someone finally came to take our order. We all ordered our food - there were 10 of us. In just a few minutes two people got their orders. Then others started to arrive. Three of us did not get our food until everyone else had finished! The waiter was not attentive at all. They brought us a bottle of Limoncello as a gift at the end of the meal.

The food we had (pizza’s) were very good. Unfortunately service not so good. Four of our mains came with the fifth person’s starter and then no one came to collect the finished starter and no final main dish arrived.

I am an American guide living here in Tuscany. Although Il Banderino would be considered "touristy", there is NO better location to be found in Siena, as you sit inside the Piazza del Campo. The food is excellent and service great. I typically add a visit there with every guest. For a special treat, the Cacio e Pepe cannot be beat! Simple, but well done!!

Charging 20% for service and only indicating it in a foot note on a menu is just bold. Quality of food was good. Service was also ok. But would never visit again since the 20% service fee.

Really nice view of the piazza for lunch on a beautiful day. Ample seating both inside and out. Good food and beverage selection. A bit pricey but on par with what you would pay for piazza people watching. Would recommend.
