Language problem, English menu (only online !) not well translated or explained. Meat was very good, but not cooked enough for our taste. Despite sending it back to the kitchen.

We chose “Braceria Il Bardo” for a special occasion, and it surpassed all expectations. The stunning setting inside the historic Castello di Casarano, with its elegant minimal-style décor, VR artworks on the walls, and open kitchen, created an unforgettable atmosphere, while the staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. We began with the “meat sushi”, a selection of bite-sized tartare portions (perfect for two or very hungry guests). For the main course, the chimichurri-glazed Picanha (as photographed) and the beef fillet in Primitivo reduction were both superb. Sides of roasted potatoes and a delicate vegetable flan rounded out the savory dishes. Dessert was a delightful three-sweet tasting (creamy cheesecake, lemon-cream sponge, and green-tea tiramisù) enjoyed alongside water and glasses of Primitivo and Negramaro. A truly memorable dining experience!

This is not a tourist trap, it’s all locals and the staff hardly speak english. I’d encourage the owner to talk to all his guests even if in Italian. We enjoy the interaction even if we don’t understand. Anyhow, the good is amazing, best steak in Puglia. Good wine selection and the prices are very reasonable. A big thanks to the young man that catered to us. He’s an excellent asset to the establishment.
