5/10The food is very good, nothing extraordinary but tasty. Service is an absolute mess, we ordered one drink and one main dish and the waiter forgot my drink, took about 15 minutes to bring a simple beer. About the atmosphere was way too disturbing with loud American hip hop, I would like to have a pleasant dinner with my fiance and the music destroyed the vibe. At the end I ordered a limoncello beyond taking an eternity to come, came served in an absolutely dirty shot glass. I definitely don’t recommend this place at all.

7/10Nice restaurant. We went on Christmas Eve, and it was nicely decorated. The menu prices were different from what was listed on The Fork, but the food was excellent. We ordered the carbonara, the Alfredo (which wasn’t on the menu, but they kindly prepared it for us), and the gamberi e zucchini pasta — all very good. The service was friendly, and the food came quickly, even on a busy night. Overall, it was a great experience.

8/10The carbonara was good. The tiramisu was over in egg yolk, no mascarpone. Besides, have not applied the discount. I have booked for 12:30, so the restaurant appears for me as offering discount and by the end they have not applied saying that the discount is only on the certain period. The waiter already knew that, comum and unfair practice. Overall, I would go to a other place

10/10Delicious food, we have tried several of the neighbouring restaurants, they were okay, but Il Barroccio is really worth booking. It is SO good. Service is also excellent and staff are polite and attentive - they can sense what each group or visitor needs - we have been back on several different occasions to try the rest of the menu. Enjoy!!

10/10This was our second visit to Il Barroccio this summer and our fourth visit in the last few years. The staff are so wonderfully welcoming, quick to build rapport and to welcome you back. The carpaccio beef with parmesan and rocket was delicious, the selection of pasta was great and really flavourful and the pizzas were spot on. Really wish we could return for a third time this trip, but that would be ridiculous! Thank you so much to everyone- even your cousin! ;-)

10/10While visiting Rome, we are here several times. The more traditional pasta dishes are incredible, but so is the lamb and seafood. The atmosphere is inviting and fun!

Food was good and service was attentive and engaging. Provided us each with a free glass prosecco upon arrival and limoncello after our meal. They even served us a free tiramisu for dessert when they heard it was our anniversary trip to Italy.

The staff was very friendly and engaging. The main “host” was very funny and we enjoyed getting to know a bit about Baki, our waiter, who was also very nice and engaging with our teenage sons. Most importantly the food was fantastic! We asked for recommendations and the filet with potatoes and porcini mushrooms was very flavorful! The truffle pasta was creamy and delicious!! We celebrated our teen’s bday and the staff made it memorable! Definitely would recommend going here!

10/10I have no words to express how wonderful our experience was at Il Barroccio. Our server Donny and Giovanni made our night unforgettable. 8.5/10Large portions, very friendly service. We ordered bucatini all’amatriciana that had just the right amount of heat and the pasta was not overcooked. The carciofi alla romana were two little carciofi and overpriced for the quantity at 8 euro! Very good spaghetti alla carbonara but you could tell the guanciale had been fried much earlier and was a tad old. The half bottle of excellent Chianti classico which was the house red was of good quality for the price. The restaurant has over 200 seats but the flow of service was well managed. I would return if I was near the Fontana dei Trevi and the Pantheon, and very hungry.
