9.5/10I ordered a gluten-free pizza, and it was flawless. I often eat gluten-free foods, and I am aware of how easy it can be to overcook them. The pizza was well-cooked, and the flavors were just right. I highly recommend Il Basilico.

8/10On arrival there were many tables free . However we were directed to a small table right beside a table already occupied by a couple. Why .? We asked if we could sit somewhere else and they agreed but we were still puzzled. We enjoyed our meal and the service was good. One small irritant however was when we asked for an additional glass of wine and the wine in the bottle ran out they never came back to adjust this . It is not an issue but in a class restaurant it just lacked a little professionalism Overall great thank you Eamonn

10/10Lovely dinner for 3 our first night in Portugal. Everything was exceptional, we had the burata, bread, lasagna, carbonara, ravioli, tiramisu, and a bottle of wine. Every dish was honestly exceptional, perfectly fresh, and delicious.

10/10We were looking for a small, quaint restaurant close to our hotel and we chose this restaurant. It was only a 5 minute walk and we really didn't want to go any further, since we were exhausted from touring and shopping. This place was exceptional, from the maitre' d to the wait staff to the outstanding food and wine. A perfect evening t wind down the day.

3/10Terrible service. We were seated (party of 8 people) and for 45 minutes not one person came to bring us water or take our order. A server brought bread to our table (which we didn't even order) and after we left - the manager came out to ask us if everything was okay and we told him the situation and all he cared about was our "bill" from us ordering nothing - but he was expecting us to pay for the bread that was brought out that we didn't order - sure here's the 7 euros. Terrible place.

9.5/10This was the first time I'd used The Fork to make a reservation and, to my delight and surprise, it worked perfectly. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table; the staff were charming and the food was delicious and generous portions. In fact we enjoyed it so much we've booked to go back tonight. ????

8/10The ambience is very nice at this restaurant. It’s casual but is trying to be a bit less so. I don’t think this is fine dining but the restaurant seems confused about the experience it is offering. The service was not great due I think to a lack of training. I was shown into the dining room and then left standing until someone came and told me to sit anywhere. I waited quite some time before anyone came to the table but there were two people standing at the service station doing nothing. I ordered a glass of wine which took a long time to arrive. A taste was poured for me to try. The next time I asked for another glass of wine a new bottle was uncorked but I was poured a full glass without a taste. I had the mixed green salad which was unremarkable and similar to what I make at home every night. The ricotta sage spinach ravioli was quite good. The bread was OK.

10/10I had the cheese plate to start. Large platter with good selection of cheese, walnuts, apple and celery. For main had the spinach pizza. It is a large pizza, perfect base and the best pizza I have ever had. All food and drink we had was great at a very reasonable price. We were staying near the top of the town, handy to have a good place to eat nearby
