We research a lot on line before booking and were excited to try this place. The grounds are beautiful but as we walked up everything was roped off in planning for something. Upon entering we were the only people in this massive and lovely place (2 more tables eventually). Friday night and the ambiance was terrible due to all of the crew busy setting up for some event next day- service coming through constantly with giant boxes of plates and utensils, tables and chairs being moved around. On line it said the famous peposo spicy stew of the region comes with beans and flan and only came with flan and the vietri dish it said you were given as a memento was nowhere to be found. Food in general was nice but lacked seasoning. A disappointing experience for a place we had been excited to try .

We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and the food was delicious. Would definitely visit again- we had a lovely evening - thanks.

We stopped at Battibecco for a light lunch on our drive into Florence. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed the brioche croccante with smoked salmon, hummus tortelli in brodo, grilled seasonal vegetables paired with wines from Diaderma bianco and Sardinian vermentino. It was just enough food for us. The service was attentive and patient as we practiced our Italian to order the meal. Our table was situated at a window near the beautiful gardens. The entire esperience was "ottimo!"

Friendly staff and tasty non-typical dishes (at least for us tourists). Beautiful venue, spacious parking, walking distance from our hotel Villa Cesi.

We were seated in the garden area which was welcoming and peaceful. The wait staff were friendly and very professional. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was greatly appreciated. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal specifically the risotto, the pici pasta and the Parmesan basket appetizer. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

Superb setting 👌🏻 the food was great our only negative is that it was very busy and took staff a long time to get to us, we skipped dessert for this reason.

+1My Steak Florentine was so amazing that we came back again twice in three days! It is a cute restaurant with loads of unique ambience in a beautiful unexpected garden setting!

The best food we ate in Italy, they didn't miss on any dish. We can't speak highly enough of the the staff and the service, we were even offered a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. Don't hesitate to visit.
