9.5/10We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Big shout out to the team at Il Bocconcino for the memories they created for us.

3.5/10Food just average sadly. Two fellow diners ordered fish which was overcooked & bland. One of them ate fish as starving and the other didn’t. We have feedback at restaurant which was very poorly received. No one checks during course of meal if all ok as obvious one of my fellow diners not eating meal. Bill was charged at full price. Would not recommend or return

6/10Our first experience was excellent back in September so we were very excited to go back again with friends. We chose to order from the Al Carte menu and not the tasting menu. As we waited for our starters to arrive, 4 half slices of bread arrived at the table at a cost is €12. The starters were very nice and the portion size good for the price we paid. Our friends ordered the lamb which it was very small for the price (€36). They said it tasted nice but not enough. We believe they were given the tasting menu size. We had to ask twice for the dessert menus and then more 3 times for the dessert to come. So all in all we waited nearly 40 minutes for our desserts to arrive. We were clearly overlooked as we didn’t order from the tasting menu. So over all we left disappointed and annoyed as we had high hopes for this to be a regular for us.

10/10Il Bocconcino is always very close to perfect. Caring and respectful service with a lot of knowledge in the background. Excellent food. Creative, tasty , surprising and yet oh so Italian. And the ambience……… unbeatable. We love the place and we come back again and again and again…..

5.5/10Table position too dark to appreciate food and heaters inadequate for cold breeze. An expensive shiver, why not have proper heaters as in starfish?

10/10A really nice restaurant with excellent service and food. We had the taster menu which was a great way to see the food of the restaurant and of Italy. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overly so. Would highly recommend.

3.5/10We were taken inside because chance of rain. Ambience was like being in a breakfast buffet. Very bright and not cozy. Food was mediocre. To top everything off my wife had a cockroach fall from the ceiling onto her hair and food and the staff didn't care one bit. Avoid this place.

10/10What a beautiful spot with lovely people. We booked for my husbands 50th Birthday last night as we wanted somewhere really special and it was just perfect. They gave us the best table, we’re so lovely and helpful in every way and we just had the best experience with the most amazing food. Absolute gem of a restaurant, It’s a must try if your in the area.

10/10We are start the Royal Hideaway and booked a dinner at this beautiful location under the stars. From the moment we were greeted by Fabien, who was both host and lead of the very Professional and attentive staff, our night was awesome! We were directed through a great dinner menu with great options. We chose Sea Bass and Gnocchi. My Sea Bass was the best I ever had! My wife devoured her gnocchi, which was very light and the perfect amount. Our starters were amazing as well. Mine was the tomato caprese which looked and tasted amazing, my wife had the melanzano, which was perfect! We pared the dinner with a great wine recommended by the sommelier. Spot on selection with no pretense, just a great selection based on our food choices and tastes. The sommelier was expert on Italian wines and it showed by the great selection from various regions! The wait staff was exceptional. Great training and nice and friendly! For an exceptional ( moderately expensive) night out, would highly recommend this restaurant! Buon Appetite!!

10/10The restaurant is in a lovely quiet setting overlooking the sea. The food is beautifully prepared and first class - tastes as good as anything in top class establishments in Italy - and that is hard to achieve. The staff are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic

10/10We had eaten at Il Boccocinno on several occasions pre covid lockdown and the food and service was excellent then. We returned after a 2 year break to be greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service and great food.The ambiance was just as before pre lockdown and overall a very enjoyable experience.

10/10Il Bocconcino is simply the best. Always over-the-top-amazing food. Nicky does incredible things with simple tastes…. The most attentive and friendly staff. Even when the rain forces us indoors to a rather boring dining room (compared to the usually stunning view) the staff manages to somehow maintain the ambience. Always worth the entire trip!

10/10We were so glad a friend recommended that we try Il Bocconcino. The food was really imaginative, the staff were super helpful and friendly and each table had an outdoor heater, which kept the cooler evening breeze at bay. It’s a very contemporary, chic restaurant, serving re-invented Italian classics alongside some really interesting, creative cuisine. If anything, the main courses we ordered were less tasty than the starters, but overall everything was excellent.
