Great service and an incredible dinner. I have been to many Michelin Star restaurants (1,2, and 3 star), and this restaurant was one of the best 1-star that I've been to. If you have a chance to go to Il Buco, get the tasting menu w/ wine pairings. You won't be disappointed.

The food was exceptional, and the staff was so welcoming and made us feel like friends! Roberto in an amazing host and it’s obvious he has a passion for his work. We enjoyed a tour of the restaurant and wine cellar after dinner as well. This is such a special place and we hope to come back again someday! Thank you to the team (Jessica, Roberto, Phillipe, Fernando) for an unforgettable evening.

My wife and I are at Il Buco on the last night of our honeymoon and we could not have had a better send-off! I had the "I trust you" chef's tasting menu, while my wife ordered a la carte, and we both loved every bit of our experience

We first visited here 10 years ago and booked in again as we were so impressed the first time around and we were not disappointed. It was also great to see the same waiter all these years later. First time around we went there twice and will more than likely go back again during this holiday. If you love fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere this is a must.

The food was excellent. Highly recommend the beef cheek. It just melts on your mouth it’s so tender. The chef stopped by the visit and took a picture with us. Nice touch! Will definitely return on our next visit.

We have had many fine dining experiences including 3 Michelin Stars. This is as good an experience as we have had. It was relaxed, the staff were friendly but professional and gave service the utmost care. The food was as good as we have tasted. The Turbot in particular was fantastic and plenty of innovations such as a brocolli sausage roll. It works ! The chef, Pepe is out between courses seeking guests feedback. One of our best meals ever.

We were celebrating my husband’s 65th birthday with our adult children. The evening was spectacular. Our servers were very attentive and the food was delicious. We were there for at least 3 hours and enjoyed every course. Our servers brought out my husband’s dessert with a candle. It was truly a memorable experience. I hope to visit Sorrento again and enjoy another meal at Il Buca!

My family & I went to IL Buco for our last dinner in Sorrento. The Michelin Star restaurant has a very nice cosy classy embience which impressed all of us :) We were welcome by our server and leaded us to 2nd floor of dinning room where a window table was reserved for us. Each of us ordered an antipasti , first & second course. I have ordered its seasonal white truffles with seared juicy sweet prawns , the aroma of white truffles filled the air when the server grated the whole truffle into thin pieces. The pieces of white truffles enhanced the sweetness of the prawns, delicious. The other antipasti that we ordered were : Steamed Lobster, Beef Tacos & Bufala, all dishes were nicely cooked and presented. Our first course which were all different pasta dishes made us really happy. The baloro wine that we ordered went well with all the dishes we had. It was a memorable dinning experience at Il Buco .

Very attentive and personal service. Food was of course delicious. We got the sea AND the land tasting menu and each dish was delicious. We also got the wine pairing with the meal and each wine was perfect for our meal. Highly recommend and it was such a great experience. Thank you!!

It was good and in line with the level of the restaurant. As it was agreed that the dessert will be served with a special candle for the anniversary celebration of my wife, I was very upset that this was forgotten.

Every aspect of our dinner was delightful from the moment we walked in the door. We had two vegetarians in our group and they had menu options that were as varied as the non vegetarians. Each dish was beautifully presented from the bread basket to the amuse bouches and the dishes themselves. We had a variety of dishes including seasonal dishes with white truffle, fish with fig jam and delicious desserts. The food came promptly and the staff were professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing service and such a wide variety of menu options. We got to try things like scorpion fish, something I’ve never heard of before. Atmosphere was beautiful and having the chef come out to chat with us about the menu was the topping on the experience. Definitely recommend as a special night out.

Beautiful ambience, inside & out, but as it became quite cool after dark, we were glad to have chosen to go inside - a great setting. The staff were friendly and helpful, but certainly seemed to give more attention to some tables than others, but we were in no hurry! Over 30 mins wait for our pre-drinks seemed rather excessive, when they were only half full. We went a la carte, The starters (lobster & grilled octopus) were delicious, and both my wife and I thought these the best course of our meal. The beef cheek was fabulous, although the amberjack (a local fish) rather bland tasting and uninspiring presentation. Desserts were beautiful. We were tempted by the soufflé (for two), but not by the 40min wait. Overall, a great experience, but would we go back? With plenty of great dining experiences at much lower price in the area, probably not.

We had the Sea tasting menu with the 6 glasses of wine pairings. It was a wonderful environment and staff was excellent. Our favorite dishes were the Risotto and the octopus. Must try if in Sorrento

Hard place to find and get into but when and if you do you will be very happy. The staff are on top of their game and explain everything about the menu if you ask. The wine cellar and the selection is one of the best I have seen. The presentation and taste are exceptional.

We chose the "I trust you" tasting menu of 5 dishes. Wine pairing package was great! The food however did not meet what we expected of a Michelin star restaurant compared to other star holders. Sure, it wasn't bad, but the two cold tomato soup dishes in a row shows a lack of diversity. The flavors were boring in the sense that they lacked the "final touch". Also, we payed for 6 glasses of wine when we only got 5. All in all slightly overpriced for what you get.

We seated in the outside area and it was too hot. I sugest they provide some kind of mist or at least give a customer the option to seat inside. The staff was very attentive and the food was very good.
