10/10the food was art on a plate. we had each of the tasting menus, land and sea, and were thrilled with the whole experience. deserts from the pastry lab were exceptional. another star or two is not out of the question. A+, 11. a must try for serious foodies or those wanting a gastro romantic evening.

6/10We were excited to come but quite disappointed at the experience - it's fine, no problems but it was very expensive for the food and service. The dishes were beautifully presented and we loved the bread tower, but the taste of the food was average only. We were grateful to be allowed to order one seafood and one meat degustation to share, but found the seafood one a bit bland. The service was fine but not friendly, there seemed to be a consistent "too cool" approach, no smiles/ response to waiting at the entry, no warmness though service was fine, nothing helpful or high quality. The dishes were generous in size, and the setting as beautiful outside but a bit strange having a public footpath straight through the middle and getting stared at by tourists while ate. The flavours on some dishes were mysterious, we couldn't taste many of the ingredients and they kept using the same condiments and decorative sauces in the dishes repeatedly. It's nice but very surprised they have a Michelin.

+11We had a wonderful dinner at il Buco! The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. The chef walked around and it was very nice to see him talking with the guests and checking in on everyone.

10/10My wife and I visited Il Buco to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The staff were absolutely superb and their attention to detail made it a truly memorable experience. The food and service was first class and we will definitely be visiting again when we return to Sorrento.

Had lunch at Il Buco and it was such a nice experience. The service was super quick and friendly. It was à la carte and tried a local rosé, San Greg, which was light and perfect for a sunny afternoon. The Tagliolini was really tasty, clearly made fresh and cooked amazingly. As for desserts, it was the Creamy lemon and red fruits tart, both were really good without being overly sweet. The vibe was peaceful with soft piano music playing in the background, which made the whole meal feel extra chill. Definitely a place I’d go back to. Great food, great atmosphere.

10/10Great service and an incredible dinner. I have been to many Michelin Star restaurants (1,2, and 3 star), and this restaurant was one of the best 1-star that I've been to. If you have a chance to go to Il Buco, get the tasting menu w/ wine pairings. You won't be disappointed.

The food was exceptional, and the staff was so welcoming and made us feel like friends! Roberto in an amazing host and it’s obvious he has a passion for his work. We enjoyed a tour of the restaurant and wine cellar after dinner as well. This is such a special place and we hope to come back again someday! Thank you to the team (Jessica, Roberto, Phillipe, Fernando) for an unforgettable evening.

10/10My wife and I are at Il Buco on the last night of our honeymoon and we could not have had a better send-off! I had the "I trust you" chef's tasting menu, while my wife ordered a la carte, and we both loved every bit of our experience

We first visited here 10 years ago and booked in again as we were so impressed the first time around and we were not disappointed. It was also great to see the same waiter all these years later. First time around we went there twice and will more than likely go back again during this holiday. If you love fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere this is a must.

The food was excellent. Highly recommend the beef cheek. It just melts on your mouth it’s so tender. The chef stopped by the visit and took a picture with us. Nice touch! Will definitely return on our next visit.

10/10We have had many fine dining experiences including 3 Michelin Stars. This is as good an experience as we have had. It was relaxed, the staff were friendly but professional and gave service the utmost care. The food was as good as we have tasted. The Turbot in particular was fantastic and plenty of innovations such as a brocolli sausage roll. It works ! The chef, Pepe is out between courses seeking guests feedback. One of our best meals ever.

10/10We were celebrating my husband’s 65th birthday with our adult children. The evening was spectacular. Our servers were very attentive and the food was delicious. We were there for at least 3 hours and enjoyed every course. Our servers brought out my husband’s dessert with a candle. It was truly a memorable experience. I hope to visit Sorrento again and enjoy another meal at Il Buca!
