The place is on a quiet street and has a cool, intimate vibe. My cacio e pepe with shrimp was excellent, the best I had on our trip. My son’s risotto was also excellent. The service was a bit brusque but efficient.

The restaurant is close to the tourist streets and yet nicely secluded, you have to find it. Excellent food, which is not pretentious and very nice service.

lovely, calm restaurant hidden in brera. all dishes tasted outstanding, the chef was even kind enough to plate dishes separately that we asked to share. the husband and wife owners were so welcoming and sweet. excellent aperol spritz, maybe the best i had in milan. thank you for our final meal in italy, i won’t forget it!

We took a trip to Lucerne, Zermatt, Lake Como and Milan. This restaurant was by far the best food we had the entire trip. Great service as well. And the prices were very reasonable compared to the other restaurants. Cheers to the excellent chef and staff!

We were harassed by gnats the entire dinner and the food was overpriced.

The service was slow. I was charged 10 euros for it and for dry bread without olive oil. The Aperol was tasteless, because of too much ice. The decoration of the restaurant is mediocre, at best,, especially the feminine figure at the entrance. My wife's main dish, a salmon, was served without any side. Our bill came up to 97 euros, a total rip-off.

Well located in the centre of Milan, in the Brera area, the Carminio has been furnished following a minimalist but not cold style. The smart lighting system ensures a warm and relaxing atmosphere; the tables are perhaps a bit small, but sufficiently spaced apart, even if placed within an equally relatively small space. The quality of the food is indisputable: while respecting the Milanese tradition, the creativity of chef Giovanni Costantino is able to give unexpected surprises and ample sensory satisfaction. Two dishes, among others, to be recommended are the typical, tasty Mondeghili, served with saffron mayonnaise, and the duck breast cooked at low temperature, really tender, fragrant and exotically garnished. We accompanied our lunch with an excellent Ribolla Gialla. The service is efficient and is provided with attention and kindness. Put simply, this is a restaurant that is definitely worth more than one visit.

We made a mistake and thought this was going to be a place for travellers to share food and relax. Instead we found a rather buttoned up business lunch spot where everyone else of both genders were wearing dark blue trousers and jackets with white shirts. The waiter took the same minimalistic approach to welcoming and serving us. Food was OK but beware of the €5 per head cover charge which made the four slices of bread and few words shared feel rather expensive.

One of the best meals we’ve had, not just on this trip, but ever. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and the duck starter and cacio e Pepe were absolutely life changing! You should definitely eat here if given the chance!
