8/10It is a place for those who love to try Milanese Italian food. I love breadsticks as an appetizer. I do recommend the squid tentacles fried with salad.

4.5/10It was a busy evening and service was lacking. Everything took too long, including getting our food and getting the bill. The food was just mediocre. We got the costoletta which was pretty dry and tough. The seafood pasta cooked under a pizza dough was only average. The branzino Sicilian style was nothing to get excited about. I was hoping this would be more than a tourist trap, but unfortunately, it seems to be just that.

10/10We specifically were looking for a restaurant that served Osso Buco and was open on a Sunday evening. Il Cestino did not disappoint. It was easy to make reservations using The Fork, our server was charming and the food was outstanding. A very memorable last dinner in Milan. I only wish I had saved room for dessert.

2/10They changed our reservation and were very rude on the phone. We called to confirm and they said it was changed, no explanation and hung up. Also, noone is speaking English.

6/10Overpriced for the quality of the food. The bill was the highest I’ve paid for a dinner in my two weeks in a Rome and Milan. It was 180 euro for the two of us. Paid $30 for two shots of grey goose vodka. And the waiter suggested a tip for the staff even though there was a cover charge included.

10/10Food was very good, but it’s hard to get bad food in Italy. The ingredients were fresh and well sourced. Amazing wine list, but being the only one drinking I had a glass of the house red and it was delicious! The real reason for taking the time to write a review is the staff. One and all were welcoming, friendly, and professional. Very impressed, I will return for sure
