The food was good. No dish was spectacular, some dishes were alright and some dishes were a miss but you could see what they were trying to do. The 3 types of artichoke dish was fine, but showed no talent or creativity other than the ability to make an artichoke 3 different ways, which is a minimum for any restaurant, let alone a Michelin stared one.

Almost every dish on the full set menu was quite unique, both in presentation and flavor combinations. But… A very strange experience!

The staff, the ambiance, the presentation of the food was second to none in Roma. The Amatriciana is the best I’ve ever had, and in my opinion the best in Roma. This is a must visit when in Roma. The staff was absolutely amazing. Chef Troiani is a genius!

I decided to treat my boyfriend to a special experience for his birthday. Neither of us have ever eaten at a michelin star before so we were a bit nervous it wouldn't be worth it. All my doubts went away as soon as we walked through the doors. The staff are so friendly and definitely set a new precedent for service. As soon as we sat at our table the experience started. We decided to embrace the whole experience and get wine pairings which was phenomenal. My pairings were absolutely perfect for my meals as were my boyfriends. We could hardly finish our dishes by the end we were so full . They also added a candle for my boyfriends birthday which was very cute. So happy we did this and there wasn't a thing we would change. It took me a while to pick a restaurant and I'm so happy I went with this one. You will be too, trust me. The foods have so much flavor. I cant even begin to describe the pasta, I could taste all the different elements it was unreal. Thank you for having us!!

+4Coming from NYC, there’s an idea that our restaurants are better than others. Far from it. Convivio Troiani really shines with the staff, the waiters, sommelier, and bus boy are incredibly detailed; which is what you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Don’t believe the negative google or yelp reviews , this is an incredible experience. The food is excellent, which is to expect, but again, there’s few places where you’ll feel as valued as here. My partner and I got 9 courses with the 5 wine pairing. We were stuffed, all the dishes were flavorful. Don’t expect a bloated dinner, each plate is careful and excellent. And, while you think you won’t get full, you will. To top it off, the company called us a taxi. You won’t beat the service you’ll find here

Since our last visit three months ago, courses have been refined (previously they were also great) - that has enhanced the taste even more. Overall great place, great service and food.

We were not satisfied. Unfortunately, we found a hair in the pasta and left the establishment. The wine did not seem very good. The features of the first courses did not inspire.
Il Convivio TroianiVorremmo fare presente che il capello nel piatto ce lo hanno messo i clienti perchè per loro sfortuna il capello era lungo almeno 30 centimetri e come abbiamo anche riferito a loro di venire a vedere nella cucina, tutti i presenti hanno capelli di non più di 3 centimetri di lunghezza, nessuno escluso e altrettanto per quanto riguarda gli operatori di sala. Inoltre cosa non trascurabile, i clienti erano palesemente più che alterati per il troppo vino che hanno bevuto e questo lo hanno notato ovviamente anche tutti gli altri ospiti presenti. Purtroppo fra tante persone normali ci sono anche questi soggetti che quantomeno avrebbero fatto bene a tacere, ma non possiamo soprassedere ad episodi del genere e non dare la possibilità a persone stravaganti di ledere al nostro lavoro.

The ambience and service were exactly what I would expect. The wine was also top shelf. Almost every single food course was subpar, with two being not even edible.

Great service with a friendly and attentive staff, great, creative food which is undoubtedly matching the vibe and the overall appearance of the restaurant. Will be glad to have a chance dining here one more time.

+1The food was more than delicious. We pre-ordered the 5-course meal. When in the restaurant we were asked to choose 5 courses from the list of courses. All great. The service was great too.

Maybe the biggest tourist trap in all of Rome. Food was bad, service was worse. Of the hundreds of fine restaurants that we have eaten in, this was clearly in the bottom 10 percent. We don’t understand how it could possibly have a Michelin star. Save your money. There are hundreds of better restaurants in Rome.

They REALLY innovate the tradition! The food and wines were excellent, the service extremely respectful and friendly at the same time. Unforgettable experience, looking forward to come back at my next stay in Rome!!! Special thanks to the Troiani family, to the sommelier Giacomo and to Erik, who magnificently attended us.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the 7-course tasting menu and it was nothing short of spectacular. Each course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The wine pairing was equally impressive, perfectly complementing each course and enhancing the overall experience. The sommelier's selections were on point, adding a new layer of depth to every dish. What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, making us feel incredibly welcome and well cared for throughout the evening. In summary, this dining experience was over the top in the best possible way. The combination of extraordinary food, exquisite wine, and outstanding service has made me a lifelong fan. I absolutely will be coming back!

Good food but really weird ambiance. Darkness reigned supreme, with light right over the tables. Service also very iffy. Service people never finished a sentence before turned their backs on customers.

I reserved this place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We’ve been to many Michelin restaurants in Europe and US. This is the worst one. The octopus was burned, and the sauce for artichoke was bitter. And all of the ingredients don’t match well with each other. One dish had a shrimp coated with chocolate and pistachio and paired with a layer of cheap made bread and another layer of grounded meat pad. No idea what that was. McDonald makes better meat pad than this place. Dun waste of your money and time here.

The good things : a creative and interesting food, traveling across several dishes with the 7 menu. Plates visuals are ok. Wine selection is also fine with a large span of prices. The space itself is nice and cozy. The bad things : the dessert is an absolute mistake, tremendous visual, taste with just no interest, too much heavy creamy and sugar (carbonara). Service is ok but a bit presumptuous, yes the chef came to your table but just for a 1mn “hello”. The conclusion : an experience to try, the value for money is fine, avoid the dessert and it will be a good evening.
