We were graciously set up with our preliminary drinks /menus etc upon arrival.. The famous fatty tuna wasn’t top grade & therefore not worth the price asked - & also I was frustrated to discover I was obliged to do the hand-rollling of my salmon “ hand roll” order, which came to table awkwardly sitting in-a low-sided tray of all things! However our sashimi platter was tops with outstanding quality & tasting kingfish/scallop& shrimp shining through…. The red tuna looked delicious, but lacked texture & defining flavour .. maybe tuna days -generally speaking at “reasonable prices - are over ? We finished with excellent udon noodles- but whilst the broth was lovely.. the pork belly sadly dry & stringy. Overall it was a nice change from Tuscan fare - but on balance too many essential quality issues to make the final pricing acceptable to we who have eaten extensively in Japan - & experienced better quality elsewhere outside that fascinating country. A highly qualified recommendation only.

Fantastic traditional Japanese food and service. A bit out of the centre but OMG worth the walk. Super fresh fish and we also ate the best pork belly ever.

Very welcoming, comfort, very good ambiance. Staff were very friendly and professional. Food was good as eating in Japan. I love kuzumochi. Never had outside of Japan yet and was good. Kurogoma pudding was good too. I will rerun for sure. You must try if you like real Japanese food and got tired of Italian food for a day. ????

A true Japanese experience the likes of which we have not had since Japan and our travels have included about 30 countries since then. The food was a feast for eyes and pallet and the people are as thoughtful and charming as only the elegant Japanese can be.

It was a truly wonderful and interesting meal, and the staff was very kind and generous. They remembered me from one time that I came five months before, and they even remembered that I was vegetarian (and which sauce I liked). They were very sweet and the food was really good. A wonderful night.

The food is good, service was nice. We had a good meal valued what we paid! The decorations of the restaurant could be with more Japanese mood. Light was too strong for me, and the interior had almost no Japanese touch.
