This restaurant was a big disappointment. The food is not good. It is too simple and like in the 90’s. The sauces are like glue. There is no depth in the food. Waiters doesn’t speak English at all or not that well. Also they don’t remember who ordered which dish although we were only two people. Don’t go to this restaurant!

Restaurant was good but being Easter weekend it was very quiet - only 4 people in restaurant on Thursday evening therefore cannot give a full rating. Would not rush back

The food was very good and the presentation of the food was great.But the service was not so great. The lady who help with service and bring us the butter and amuse bouche "forgot " to bring us also bread for the butter and we feel a little bit discriminated because all other customers received it and even when she came to take our empty plates from amuse bouche she didn't "see " that we have not received bread for butter and we asked another man who bring us it.Also at the end of our meal we asked her for the bill but she ignored us again and after some time we asked again the other man to help us with the bill. I want to tell that we were calm all the time but we didn't feel welcome especially that last time when we ate there she stained my vest by dropping the food on me and they behave like nothing had happened .They need to change the staff because the food is great but need also the service to make customers to feel welcome.

Friendly service, great value for money wonderful food. Did not feel too touristical but they had menus in English. Wines were not overpriced and my wife was given 2 glasses of prosecco on the house. A memorable evening

The service was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent throughout the meal - we particularly liked the semifreddo and the recommended wine accompanied it well and was good value. The only issue was awful background music- jazz versions of Madonna etc which was bad - but it then repeated 3 or 4 times during the meal!

The shellfish and sea food royal plateau (at €60!) was disgusting : the urshins weren't cleaned properly, the oysters were sinking in the ice melted water, a strong stench of fish was emitted from the whole platter... after a couple of nibbles, we just stopped touching it out of fear of food positioning. Service was unattentitve and obnoxious with the children. Pasta and risotto portions were abnormally small even for primi. Apparently we learned that this place has chronic issues, changing ownership every 6 months. That explains.

In reference to Your review, we are very sorry that you have not a good experience with us but, at same time, we would like to point out some aspect of which, we find it hard to accept. First of all You claim to have received 2 plateau of sea food that was not fresh and in your opinion inedible. Well even if the same evening many others tables enjoyed the same dishes and several times we have proposed you to redo the plate, as You can see from the receipt, You did not pay 60 euro each as You claimed but we charged only 28 euros for the tartars instead of 120 euro, despite being fresh from the day. Certainly it is not our fault if the very hot evening made ice melt quickly and also the fresh urchins should not be washed inside but only open and finally we could not grant you an additional discount of 20% as you requested because your booking did not included it, as you could verify. Last question, belive me, it was difficult to manage a table with children whose behavior was not appropriate .

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise in Bergamo, and an easy, comfortable walk from our hotel (Gombit). On a hot day with thunderstorms, we had a beautifully relaxed meal with attentive service, and would love to return.

Great value and ambience with excellent service. A good little Trip advisor find. We alerted staff to true need to leave to catch a flight after two hours and every course of the tasting menus was served efficiently. Possibly too much food for a tasting menu but with excellent Complementary aperitif and digestive.

Amaizing meal.The staff made us feel very comfy. We tried the amaizing lombata di vitello.They are very welcoming.We will come again.It is the best restaurant in Bergamo from my point of view.

I booked this place with a bit of urgency and last minute dinner with 2 of my colleagues (none of us is from Bergamo) thanks to reviews on TripAdvisor. It defiantly lives up to what others are saying! Excellent food and great service located in a beautifully green part of Bergamo. Yes, pricey it is!

Amazing in all aspects! They prepared a special table for our 22nd Anniversary and it was memorable. Staff and management were super-courteous. You must dine here! Unmissable!

Fantastic meal and excellent service in a lovely restaurant. We would highly recommend the four course taster menu. Every course was delicious. Thanks to all the staff for a really enjoyable evening.

The people were extremely kind and the food was delicious! We were a bit surprised by the look of it at first, we didn’t expect something so chique. But the prices were really ok and the atmosphere was great!

Extremely well looked after and great food all in all. We opted for a couple of the more traditional dishes of the region and while they were expertly executed maybe they weren't completely to our taste. I would wholeheartedly recommend Il Ducale though and we had an amazing evening.
