How often do you get to eat in a restored ancient olive oil mill? And have fantastic food! One of our favorite restaurants in Galatina. Not in the Centro Storico, but worth the 3 minute drive.

I have lived in Italy for 5 years and we've visited annually for the last ten. Il Fienile was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Their new location in a 16th century olive oil mill is stunning! The giant mill stone, clever lighting for all the vaulted nooks and alcoves with a perfect soft jazz track create a romantic and relaxed ambiance. Then there's the food: this chef has world class experience and his previous Michelin recognition is obvious and well-deserved for this location as well. The octopus was the best we've ever had. We had attentive service by Sylvia and her male counterpart who were always watching but never intrusive. All of this for a very reasonable price. We leave in two days but are booking again because we can't imagine a better meal in the region.

We didn't catch the lady who was front of house’s name, but the service she provides is exceptional, along with well trained waiters/ waitresses. Food is delicious and setting is beautiful. Chef came out at the end which is also a lovely touch.

The best meal of our trip to Puglia in stunning surroundings. The restaurant is located slightly out of town in a refurbished mill and we enjoyed a quick tour before enjoying superb antipasti, meat and fish dishes. A true gem and we hope to revisit in the near future.

Simply the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The chef is on his road to Michelin. It was so delicious, my husband and I came back twice!

It's a beautiful place, even in summer when the indoor restaurant isn't accessible and you're dining in the square. Very good meal. The truffle pasta was sublime! However, there was one big problem that spoiled everything: after barely 1h15 at the table, when the meal was over, the staff were very insistent that we vacate the table quickly. Without any embarrassment, we were asked to pay quickly to clear the table. This is not acceptable. If we'd stayed 3 hours, why not! You have to learn to take better care of your customers.

This is a repeat restaurant for us. The food and service never disappoint. Creative menu with beautiful presentations that could be found at any Michelin star rated restaurant. The only reason I didn’t give five stars for ambience is that we sat outside in the piazza with a beautiful view of the church but loud music from the nearby bar was a distraction. I much prefer the beautiful indoor dining room. Otherwise, wonderful evening.

We found the restaurant to be so exceptionally good that we returned the following day. The food was so good; genuine, honest food - exquisitely cooked and presented. We could not have been happier. The service was the icing on the cake, friendly, professional. We felt privileged to be there.

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Galatina. We dined on the inner terrace which was quiet and chilled and perfect for us. For a livelier experience you can also dine in the main square. The service offered by Rebecca and her colleagues was warm, friendly and efficient and the food was top notch. A great experience all round.

My partner and I visited on our second night in Galatina. The restaurant is situated opposite a beautiful Basilica and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I would definitely visit again!

We loved La Fienile, the food, especially the wait staff, and the beauty of the location. Would love to go back! I particularly liked the crudo antipasto, and the frittini misti.

This is a wonderful recently opened restaurant where today we enjoyed a leisurely dinners . The chef and his partner are rightly proud of the restaurant and the food. They are friendly and the food is exceptional. Highly recommended
