My daughter and I are vacationing in Italy and this restaurant is one more example of the excellence we see everywhere. Food was superb, service excellent and atmosphere charming. Beautiful view to top it all off. Highly recommend and I hope we get to return one day

Incredibly disappointed by Il Fornillo. After making a reservation we were turned away upon arrival.

The food was delicious. The service was great. The view was beautiful. The only thing that took away from the experience as a whole was the restaurant is on a street. My table was just a few feet from cars and mopeds going by. Although it wasn’t extremely noisy, it took away just a bit from the overall experience. But I still loved it.

We loved Sea Bass and the Cacio e Pepe! My wife is gluten free and they were very accommodating! Fast service too! Many people helping us!

The food was ok , not that exceptional . However the service was poor , the waiter keeps on forgetting things and was available to attend the table . We called multiple times , and finally the owner to get heard. There are other places nearby which provide better experience than this one.

We had a reservation, but were seated in the back. Didn't get a bread plate until our food was almost delivered. Seafood pasta just had clams. Not sure how that differed from pasta with clams.

A delightful restaurant with great street appeal. Our outside table( ordered an hour previously!) was at the end of the upward street slope so glasses sat a little crookedly on the table but certainly did not ruin the experience. The house wine was excellent as was the local bread and my pasta dish was superb from the al dente pasta to the fresh tomatoes and my husbands fish although a small serving (for a man) was also delicate and well flavoured. Service was excellent with friendly staff. Only slight downside is the outside tables are extremely close to the passing cars but this is just part of the delightful ambience that is Positano! Highly recommend.

We both ordered the Fruitti de mare seafood/pasta. It was very bland. The deserts were excellent but overall we will not return to this restaurant based on the main course. The views are terrific so good place for drinks or desert but not the overall food.

Hard working family owned business. Meals were fresh, authentic Italian with great flavors. Don’t be taken aback by the simplicity of the wine list…order the house wine. We had rosso and it was delicious. Great service and amazing views.

Food was great. The ravioli was great, the bolognese was the best I’ve had. Calamari was also great. Worth climbing the stairs but recommend taking a taxi.
