5.5/10We had a reservation, but were seated in the back. Didn't get a bread plate until our food was almost delivered. Seafood pasta just had clams. Not sure how that differed from pasta with clams.

10/10A delightful restaurant with great street appeal. Our outside table( ordered an hour previously!) was at the end of the upward street slope so glasses sat a little crookedly on the table but certainly did not ruin the experience. The house wine was excellent as was the local bread and my pasta dish was superb from the al dente pasta to the fresh tomatoes and my husbands fish although a small serving (for a man) was also delicate and well flavoured. Service was excellent with friendly staff. Only slight downside is the outside tables are extremely close to the passing cars but this is just part of the delightful ambience that is Positano! Highly recommend.

7/10We both ordered the Fruitti de mare seafood/pasta. It was very bland. The deserts were excellent but overall we will not return to this restaurant based on the main course. The views are terrific so good place for drinks or desert but not the overall food.

10/10Hard working family owned business. Meals were fresh, authentic Italian with great flavors. Don’t be taken aback by the simplicity of the wine list…order the house wine. We had rosso and it was delicious. Great service and amazing views.

6.5/10Food was decent. But food in reviews wasn’t offered (pizza) even though menu said pizzeria. Barely was checked in on. We had to get up to ask for our check bc we hadn’t been checked in on since our food was delivered. So we decided to not try desert bc we were afraid of the additional wait.

5.5/10Some of the food was okay. The issue was service. Didn't see anyone for 45 minutes didn't bring out my son's dinner. Finally after asking it came after we were done. Could get more drinks ordered. Disappointing, after every meal in Positano has been very good.

8/10The location and setting were fantastic. The food quality was better than “good” but the service, particularly at the end of the meal, could have been better. It was difficult to determine who was waiting on our table. After our entrees arrived, the waitstaff either lost interest or they were confused about who was checking in on our table. I would return again but hope for better service next time.

5/10This restaurant has an excellent environment and nice view. The service was also very good and the waiters are great people. However, the food is not good at all. I am surprised with the reviews from people that say that this was the best pasta they ate in Italy. We ordered a Fruti di Mare and it was awful. We spent almost 70 EUR for food that was not good at all. I saw people that ordered pizza and it seemed very good. The house wine was great, but the food is not good.

9.5/10Il Fornilo was our favorite restaurant in Positano. We ate here twice during our 4 day stay after the first meal being so good we had to go back to try other dishes. The food is delicious, and the view is breathtaking. We will definitely be back next time we make it to Positano!

10/10We stopped to eat here because it was close to our hotel. It was a great little spot. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. We ate outside. A pleasant surprise. We are use to eating outside in Italy but for those of you who are not it is close to the road.

6/10I chose here for my wife’s birthday, the food was ok. The portion sizes were very disappointing. My daughter ordered seafood pasta and all there was in there were muscles and clams. No other seafood. Overall not the best experience.

7/10After having had lunch a few days earlier, we came back for a dinner and were slightly disappointed from the food quality that evening. For starter we shared the raw sea bass carpaccio, which was very good, but it was thick cut, so more like ceviche. But nice taste and good portion for a starter. The pulpo as a starter was fried and served with fried potatoes. The pulpo itself was very dry and for the price fairly small. The seafood pasta was better, but when my wife ordered the same after being hungry, she received it without the razor blade mussel. After complaining, they brought them immediately, so service was well connected to the kitchen. Overall a bit too expensive for the location, although the view is nice, but you have the street in front of you. Kitchen was extremely quick, it seems as if they precook quite a bit. When having had lunch, we also had the bruscetta, which were very nice. Warm fresh toast, cold and nicely marinated tomatoes, excellent that day. Service was nice and attentive, but overall the prices are even for Positano a bit too high, we found. Still, we give it 4/5 overall.

9.5/10Excellent food, service, and charm all away from the noise of downtown. The better food and ambiance is up top away from the chaos down below and minimal walk if staying on the hill. The beach restaurants are overpriced tourist traps with poor food and service, this is more like the genuine Positano vibe.

7.5/10Nicely appointed restaurant with nice views. Overall the food was good. We had the Octopus and Fried Zucchini flowers. Both were really good. For main dishes we had pasta with clams and mushrooms and seabass. Both were very good. Pizza was on point as well. Only trouble was one of our party ordered the bistecca but it did not come out with the order. I think they rushed one out of the kitchen and it tasted as such (that I guess is what you get for ordering a steak in a coastal town!) We had several different servers over the evening which might of lead to some of the issues.
