It was quite disappointing. Our waiter was very inattentive and our food was cold when it came out because he forgot to bring it to us. We had to ask another waiter to check on it 15 minutes after we finished our first course. Our waiter never came to check on us until I flagged someone down to get more water. (We couldn’t remember who our waiter was!) He then asked how the food was, and when I said it had been cold, he became incensed and basically told me it was my fault! Also, the food was pricey for what it was… spaghetti with carbonara sauce. We will not be back.

Signora mi ricordo benissimo . Aveva due camerieri a sua disposizione , Ci dispiace averla delusa e chi vien è da noi sa benissimo quanto ci teniamo . Le rispondo e cerco di essere breve : l’acqua vien portata appena dopo che gli consegniamo il menù il cameriere se è avvicinato se era tutto bene e lei ha risposto che la carbonara era fredda e il cameriere ha chiesto che se vileva la riportava in cucina e rimediare , lei ha risposto che no importava ( il piatto è entrato vuoto in cucina . Io Maria mi sono avvicinato chiedendo se era tutto apposto e voi mi avete detto Tutto buono , c è qualcosa che non mi quadra . Il prezzo forse ( gli abbiamo fatto una piccola cortesia sul prezzo)Cara signora quando è uscita l’abbiamo salutata e io gli ho richiesto come mia abitudine Signora Is ok ? E lei yes Sono stata sempre presente in sala e nessuno l’abbandonata e la pasta nessuno si è dimenticata (. 15 minuti servono per prepararla non cibo precotto) si rilassi e si goda la vacanza

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! A true gem on a small street in Rome. The seafood was extremely fresh and the pasta was even fresher. Great service and ambience. A must when in Rome!

10/10We ate dinner three times at IL Giardino Antica Osteria. It is in a quiet location in central Rome and we liked the friendly approach of waiters and staff. The food is excellent value. Everything we tried was delicious and their seafood dishes are particularly good. The restaurant is warm and comfortable and we never felt rushed. Service was attentive. We will be back next time we are in Rome.

+8Nic exterior of fairy lights, on entering, went up one level to find the proprietor to check in. Took a while for them to seat us. Sat us at the front of the restaurant which was disruptive due to people doing our to smoke and leaving the door open. Ordered a bottle of the Amicale 2020, good wine, well priced. The octopus in tomatoes sauce on bread was a good starter. The cacao e Pepe was nice and creamy with prawns. The spaghetti with clams was good. The pistachio tiramisu was good. Service was below average, was hard to get orders in at start of the meal. Waited along time. When plates were taken away with cutlery, it was no replaced. Our mains turned up and we had no cutlery to eat it with. When I asked for some- oil and salt and pepper turned up instead!

We were delighted with Il Giardino Antics Osteria 1909. We arrived in Rome today and thought a traditional Italian meal would be perfect. Il Giardino delivered! A highlight was the tuna tartare over burrata. Delicious! My husband ordered the seafood and mushroom risotto, but it was a bit spicy for him. Our server brought a different, milder dish that was delicious. Heaven on earth was the passion fruit panna cotta! Ok Giardino really went the extra mile, and we highly recommend!

10/10We went to this restaurant about 10 years ago when it was called Giardino Albino. Although the name and decor has changed, the quality of their food and service has not. It was the best meal of our three weeks of travels through Italy. My wife had the seafood platter and I had the sea bass with a side of Roman artichokes; both meals were perfection. Attentive, professional service and a great selection of wines. Located on a quiet side street, it might be easy to miss if you’re simply walking the sidewalks looking for a place to eat, so make a reservation and head straight to it.

We went twice this week because the food was so good and the service excellent. Very homey atmosphere, definitely feels family run. All of the pasta was very well done and the octopus and meatballs were delicious. The panna cotta with berries was a perfect ending to the meal.

10/10Came across this restaurant on Trip Advisor just by chance. The reviews were true to their word; a local restaurant, in a side road, that appeared small on the outside but opened up inside. The staff were welcoming and service was very good. Food was the best that we had come across whilst in Rome just wish we had found it before our last night as we would certainly have gone back. My husband chose Sea Bream with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables and I chose lasagne. All of it was delicious. We finished with a tiramisu which was definitely home made and fresh. Loved it all! And we got a 20% discount with our last minute booking through Trip Advisor!

Tony was an amazing table captain who spent the time to understood why we were there and what we wanted to experience. Tonight was a returning experience for one of us and we wanted Gina's hospitality to reign over our evening. The food was amazing, the wine was served according to the plates and the guests' desires, and every aspect of Tony's hospitality was beyond expectation. Tonight was perfect and wonderful and we felt like we were at home. I cannot wait to return!

8.5/10This restaurant was very close to our hotel on a very quiet street. The service was wonderful and the food did not disappoint. We had the little parmigiana which was an a small appetizer size eggplant parmigiana, cacio de pepe with shrimp and fettucine with sea bass. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. We liked the restaurant so much that we decided to return on our last night in Rome. We ended up having the same waiter who remembered us and brought us the same bottle of wine we had ordered before. Great experience overall!

10/10Food, wine and service were superb. We were staying next door. I asked for a particular bottle of wine to be opened the afternoon before our meal and they obliged. The only negative was like many other quality restaurants they serve filtered water from a system on the premises. I would prefer to have the choice of buying a branded bottled water, particularly when it comes to sparkling. But considering how much we enjoyed the food, wine and service it is a minor issue.

Very good food. Great set of daily specials in addition to a long menu. Friendly, warm staff and service. Only small downside was a very large group at the restaurant that was extremely loud. Once they left, it was much more pleasant.

10/10You will not find a better Italian restaurant in Rome. You may find more expensive, or a place with views of the city, but you will not find better food, warm and lovely staff, like family, perfect service, or a better meal anywhere. Our favorite restaurant in Rome. Waiter Tony is a delight. We'll see you again soon. Ciao bello.

8/10We booked on the day and arrived at 7pm. Restaurant quickly filled up. Was noisy but a jovial level. Shared a salad which was fresh and came quickly then both had pasta which was delicious. Spaghetti, tomato and bursts for me, tonnetelli, pesto and husband for him. Overall would recommend because it was close to a piazza Barberini where we were staying and not too expensive. All tourists though.

10/10Had a great night!! 14 of us celebrating family, the food was amazing and Tony even gave a professional fork pasta twirling. Excellent service with a big group from all over the USA here in Rome to celebrate love, family, weddings and those we have lost. Thank you to this amazing place and excellent food.

The restaurant was a great find. The food was amazing. We had a pasta special and the chateaubriand. Both were delicious. The service was great. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. The room was very noisy filled with many people celebrating life.
