10/10Such a cute, clean and quaint little restaurant. Easy to walk to as well. The food and service were delicious, beer was cold. The piano music was a pleasant bonus.

2/10The pasta dishes and pizzas were not very good, the service was slow, the outside dining area was right up close to a narrow busy road, and the icing on the cake, they added a 10 Euro service charge to the bill, then claimed to have no change when we paid in cash, to try to add on nearly another 10. There are so many better restaurants in Rome - this is one to avoid!

8.5/10We booked a table and after waiting over ten minutes we were ushered through to a tent style area at the rear of the restaurant. We refused to sit here and waited another while as they set a table out front. The food was nice but not piping hot. There was an elderly gentleman playing the piano which benefited the ambiance.

10/10Great food , the service was great! They were so nice and hospitable + we had live piano music ! How wonderful ! We ordered ox tail stew which was absolutely delicious, the carbonara was made with the original recipe of course . We would like to come back and recommend !

2/10We had a reservation and when we went in they told us to wait outside. Then let another group walked right in. Eventually they signalled for us to come in and stuck us in a back room next to the garbage. We decided to leave instead of being treated this way. Will not be back.

A wonderful little restaurant. Beautiful food . They had a pianist playing amazing music through out our meal . Was very impressed with this little find. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

8/10Be aware that they include the service fee in the bill. Even if there's not much service involved like it was in my case (brought a pizza, that's it). Thanks to the pianist the dinner was nicer than could have been.

6/10Spider in glass of wine (waiter didnt even apologize), ordered water not served at all, bread served in paper bag (sic!), no cutlery set for meals. Food less than average, calzone was filled with water and questionable quality of meat and chees. One and only pros was the charming pianist. I would rather advise you to avoid this place.

The pianist makes this space truly special. Service is fantastic and you can enjoy beautiful live classical music (the man also takes requests for some pieces he has in his music notes!) while escaping the bustling city and getting some traditional Roman dishes.

7.5/10Overall good food at decent prices let down by slow service and circling flies. The food was tasty and good variety on menu. The servers were nice and friendly if a bit slow. Sadly we were sat close-ish to the door and we had flies circling our food for most of the meal which unfortunately was a distraction and off-putting.

10/10We booked this resteraunt as it was close to the Rome Times Hotel, but what a find! It was perfect. There was a piano player in the resteraunt which was special for us. The waiters were friendly, fun and excellent at remembering our order. I will make sure that I visit again should I return to Rome and would urge anyone else to seek out this gem!

10/10So many restaurants to choose from in Rome but am so lucky to have found Il Girasole! Cannot recommend highly enough the quality of food, service and ambiance. It’s understated, relaxed personal service, providing exemplary dishes cannot be praised too highly!! If you want to enjoy an authentic, unpretentious evening meal with the absolute highest standards come along to Il Girasole -you will not be disappointed!

7/10Very nice deco, ambience and service. Food was not cared for though. Our Pizza Vegetariana was not cooked properly, and was completely cold when served! The zucchini topping was almost raw and the daw resembled a cracker than a pizza daw. The Capricioza salad was so poor: lettuce that felt that it was cut the day before, one single egg, three walnuts and some olives, no sauce or topping on it, completely tasteless and poor. The only thing that was tasty were the two little pieces of fried zucchini/anchovies.

10/10Our last night in Italy with a large group and we hadn't chosen a restaurant yet. We looked at a few and decided on this because of the menu and location. The service, food, atmosphere, were all perfect without being too fancy. So glad we chose it!

Everything about the restaurant was excellent - the food, the service, the piano, the people… everything! We went back on our last night in Rome and even though we got a late reservation, they were still able to accommodate us and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Overall a wonderful place!

4.5/10Service was extremely slow and poor. Ordered a 2 ND glass of wine they never brought it. Asked twice for the cheque , waited 30 minutes again never came , had to get up and just pay. Food was blend and luke warm at best.
