Lovely trattoria just off the main piazza. Great food, ambiance and service. The carta da vini is substantial and reasonable.

Very atmospheric and authentic restaurant at the center of Perugia. I picked it to celebrate my birthday and have no regrets! Steak with truffles was delicious and memorable:) And grilles artichokes were just to die for (highly recommend). And of course try Montefalco Sagrantino, it's a dream wine, and so special for Umbria. I'm very greatfull to Il Giurista for the experience.

Everything went well from the start - nice atmosphere, waiter accompanied us to a nice table and gave us the menu. Their is a big difference between the waiters - the less experience ones can only show the menu, have no knowledge about the wine, … Food was excellent, prepared with fresh ingredients and creative touch. Truffles, put on the dish in front of you and the taste was marvellous. The issue which we had was the waiting time - we waited very long for the main course and when this repeated at the dessert, we even had to remind the waiter. The it was finaly served. Conclusion: restaurant and the food is great, but they have to improve the service.

A fine establishment. Our 7:30 booking (to ensure we had cleared out by 9:15) was a bit early, but, that said, the staff did a wonderful job and the food was excellent.

The truffle pasta was fragrant and delicious. The meat dish, beans, tiramisu were delicious. It’s a friendly, courteous and cozy restaurant.

Food was excellent and the service and staff are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Super professional and kind. They make you feel at home and take care of your every need.

The whole experience was very underwhelming. I have had many Michelin experiences- this was the worst Zero service — staff were untrained seemed uninterested and lacked cordiality - bordering on rude and unpleasant. They seemed angry and frustrated generally. There was no adherence to Michelin standards from the start - it was like a conveyor belt set up where we’re not offered dessert only coffee- we eere not slow! No advice re menu - this was nothing to do with language barrier! The food was just put Food - the chicken liver, saffron gnocchi and cannelloni were acceptable but not as refined in flavour as one would expect however we enjoyed it. The rest of the meal was awful. The beef tartare was chewy and lacked any depth of flavour and the beef dish had was too strong in the flavour of the sauce e and the taste of the meat was lost and was overcooked. The bread was dry and terrible. Vegetables were burnt and there was no finesse or care taken with presentation or service

The food, in every respect, was well prepared and presented. The wine list is very long (3 pages of Montefalco wines!) - we had the only primitivo on the list, from Puglia, which turned out to be a good choice by the restaurant. The service was very attentive ...bordering on the over-attentive, but they did respect our decision to pause before making our dessert order. An enjoyable meal, in a nice setting and atmosphere.

The staff was great - maybe even a bit too involved, standing in the room just awaiting something to do, which gave a bit of awkward pressure on diners. The food was not the greatest, in fact for the price, it really was not that great. The location, the rooms, it’s surely here we find the reasoning for the food. The bill came out wrong, which was fixed, we were charged for bread twice on the bill, which I in the end simply didn’t feel like arguing with. Don’t serve bread with olive oil and balsamic, if you will be charging for it on top, that’s a bit odd.

After a very long and frusterating travel day, we ended up here due to good reccommendations. It was a bit hard to find, maps sent us in a loop but ambiance was really cute, authentic and really needed good food and wine lifted everyone's spirits. Service was a bit cranky but they warmed up by the end. The caprese was oustanding. So great to see a middle eastern spin on some of the standard italien dishes that were getting a bit old. Would definitely go here again!

Phenomenal restaurant. Gorgeous underground setting, exquisite food (the truffle pasta and steak were standouts). Service was first class as eas the red wine we were recommended and the desserts did not disappoint either. Wonderful experience and highly recommended.

The staff were so kind and accommodating and the food and wine delicious. We liked it so much we went back twice. Try and book early to ensure you can get a table (we booked late so there was only 9.15pm and 9.30pm available).

Ambiance was memorable, but service from maitre’d was snobbish at best. Follow up service could be improved as well-they didn’t know amongst themselves if we had ordered or not, got our plates mixed up as well. Definitely not a 5 star restaurant by a long shot.

Decent food, good service, and spot, totally overpriced though. The menu is a bit boring - normal standard Italian dishes with truffle on top... Looks like it's made for tourists.

We were excited to come back here after visiting them last year, we were not disappointed! Very caring and attentive service. The food was wonderful, beautifully served and well balanced. Despite having a large group seated next to us, we felt very comfortable and were served with such professionalism. Highly recommend Il Giurista when visiting Perugia.

A fine restaurant on a side street in Perugia. Exceptionally attentive and friendly service. The restaurant is underground, in an sleek attractive setting almost like a modernized wine cellar. Recommended.

The cuisine is excellent. Most of the service. Was good but far too many inexperienced staff on duty. Would recommend for the standard of of food while traditional still innovative. Deserts disappointing. Wine list excellent

Generally we find TripAdvisor ratings to be a very good guide when looking for somewhere to eat. This place is No.1 in Perugia and it was pretty accurate. The food was excellent, definitely a step up, wine selection huge, and a nice location in a cooler cellar environment for the hot summer! The service was friendly, and knowledgable about the wine. The only note would be that after we booked on The Fork, we received an email informing us that the table would be needed to be vacated at a certain time. They did ask if this was ok which was fair enough. With that in mind the service was a little ‘hasty’. The time was plenty for us though and we enjoyed the food and wine. Definitely worth a visit on one of your evenings in Perugia.

Excellent menu with good cooking and splendid wines in a relaxed and yet central location. Bartolus would surely have loved it.
