6.5/10The place is nice, and they should have told us about what was found underground when we arrived, and not at the very end, still it was interesting. On the web it said they had vegeterian options, but they did not have even one for main course. The only option for pasta was the tartufo, and it was OK, but not amazing. I had to add salt and pepper a few times, and when I asked to add some parmesan, he said no, no, no. I believe he could have said it doesn't need, but here it is, you decide. We really wanted a salad, and could not believe there was not even one, and the only thing I could choose was a plate with deep fried things, that was OK, but nothing special, and definitely not healthy. The portions were really small, and it was expensive. Not a place I would recommend

Thanks for your comment We usually explain about the underground at the end of the meal because it is big and needs time to see it. About the salad we are not a restaurant with salad dishes we prepare by hands all the food! About vegetarian we have gnocchi with pumpkin and our famous egg and truffle that could be a main course. I hope to see you again.

10/10We had a wonderful waiter and he gave us some tasty samples to try. The highlight of the evening was the walk through the caves below! What an interesting experience. Good food and a very unique opportunity to explore Orvieto's past. I highly recommend this restaurant.

6.5/10This restaurant was very rigid. If it wasn’t on the menu, you weren’t getting it. Even the most basic of Italian food to start. They had no olive oil or balsamic vinegar for the bread. They had no basic insalata mista. They had no bread, olive oil or balsamic vinegar. If you didn’t follow their rules, they didn’t care.. However, my dinner was delicious and my visit of the Etruscan caverns was amazing. Overall, I do not feel they cared about us as American tourists.

10/10Wonderful food and service. You get the sense that it's a small family staff. They have indoor seating and a garden area out back. We had the "Labyrinth Appetizer" of focaccia with mortadella, artisan porchetta, fried vegetable meatball, aubergine and pecorino cream, bruschetta, small flan, and a vegetable quiche - all delicious. We had tagliatelle with ragu, umbrichelli with white wild boar ragu, and rabbit in porchetta potatoes with sausage - all amazing. Fun to go visit the Labyrinth of Etruscan caves under the restaurant, free when you eat there. Wonderful experience beginning to end.

10/10When you read reviews of this restaurant you mostly see comments about the underground caves. What people are missing is some of the best Orvientane food in town. I had the best rabbit in my past 4 weeks in Italy, possibly the best in years. The antipasto, fresh pasta and the deserts can not be missed. I think the dining experience first, then the tour of the caves makes this the best place in all Orvieto. Well worth your time and money.

10/10Dinner was delicious. We had the rabbit, very tender. The plating was beautiful. Fabulous dinner. After dinner they opened the gate to the underground Etruscan cave. Wow what a finish to an incredible dinner!

6/10Excellent food but terrible service. Waitstaff hardly came over to check on us through the night then rushed us to order dessert — which we would have done if given more time — so that the kitchen could close. It was only 9:30 p.m. Ambiance is bad with bright fluorescent lighting which made it difficult to enjoy the meal.

9/10Well, prepared food, and excellent service or features at this somewhere hidden away spot in Orvietto. A feature is the system of caves underneath the restaurant that you can visit after your meal. Would probably go here again, food was very good, but the wine list was a bit limited. But the caves make up for it all.

10/10Lovely restaurant with a fantastic cuisine. Everything we ordered was amazingly tasty. Plus after meal you can visit their underground labyrinth just grab a jacket, it’s chilly down there. Would love to come back to this place again!
