10/10This is the BEST RESTAURANT in ROME!!! We booked the first night as I'm gluten free, so wanted to have somewhere in the diary. Who would have thought that we would then eat there every night!? It was so FANTASTIC! From the moment we saw it, with its twinkly lights on the beautiful Via Vantaggio, we were in love with it. The table was ready & the waiter made us laugh by giving us each a menu but saying that for gluten free, we could have everything on the main menu. Then we met Niko, the manager who was just wonderful, such a kind & joyous gentleman. What a fabulous team at Il Melarancio. The food was INCREDIBLE. I had GF seafood pasta, my son had pizza & my husband had veal cottoletta milanese. The next night, I had sea bass which I then had every night as it was SOo good. My husband also loved the saltimboca. We even went for Sunday lunch too, Niko fitted us in, it was busy everywhere. Best to book. The tuna salad was super delicious. My son says the pizza is the best in Rome! 5*****

8/10This is a place to go igår you need gluten free food. They have a lot of options for celiacs. Antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. We let the waitor choose dishes and wine for us. The negative thing doing that ess that we did not have full control over the costs… Tje price for what we got was too high, in my opinion! Anyhow, we had a good time and a good meal.

10/10Everything was perfect! Saute of mussels and clams, fried baby squid and bruschetta were a great start. Entrees of lasagna, carbonara and amatriciana were fabulous. The desserts of panna cotta, creme caramel and chocolate souffle were a spectacular end to a fabulous dinner. There are not enough superlatives to describe the phenomenal meal we had.

7/10The restaurant provides excellent gluten free options so great for coeliacs. I had a gluten free margherita which was yummy and my partner had a non-GF lasagne which he said was delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant was not busy with just one other table of diners, so lacked ambience despite nice decor and a central location.

9.5/10Far more than you expect. The quality of service and the food are of a superb standard. They cater beautifully and easily to gluten and dairy intolerant guests and equally to people without specific requests, all with such ease. The chairs, the white table cloths, the ambience, the service and key to it all, the quality of food are that of a fine dining restaurant, yet here, it surprises because they are so unassuming about the gold they are presenting. Absolutely worth a visit (or more) during your stay in Rome. Walking distance from the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and shopping strip.

10/10Our first visit for dinner was excellent! We then visited again for lunch, and another dinner! The team here are simply lovely, and treated us like family. Add delicious calamari and pastas to that, as well as helping us celebrate a special occasion, we just couldn’t ask for more from them.

10/10My mother and I visited Italy on holiday and absolutely loved our dinner at Il Melarancio. The service was superb and the food was excellent. As two people with Celiacs who have been dreaming of a trip to Italy for years, the thought of making our way through Italy without trying fresh pasta or pizza was terrible. I was so excited to discover this amazing restaurant. I can't say enough about the food. It wasn't just Gluten Free good. It was AMAZING. The bread was fresh and hot, crisped perfectly and full (without that awful gummy texture that usually comes with GF breads), and the pasta...perfetto. We grew up in an italian/American household. This was the first time in years either of us had enjoyed a good pasta dish and we were so grateful. It felt like home. We loved it so much, we have already made plans to go back. Whether you are gluten free or not, this restaurant is worth the trip and close to so many beautiful monuments and sights.

9/10Service was lovely and the food ok. Menu quite limited and my lasagna was quite hard on the bottom. Howeve, the waiter was very sweet and the friscata white wine was delicious so we had a great evening
