8/10Very good restaurant with original and local food. We took the tray of antipasti and we really like it. For the dessert you should try the chocolate cake. The only negative point is that the restaurant is little and there is not a lot of place to eat.

10/10When we arrived we waited at the bar for a few moments and enjoyed a few cocktails. The food was amazing local cuisine and did not disappoint. We really enjoyed our dinner here on a sunday night when a lot of restaurants were closed. The vibe felt young and hip with all great English music. And the most delicious bread... of course! We had the chickpea bread soup, risotto, pasta w cima di rabe and local grilled sausage with potatoes.

10/10A few meters from the center stands this typical place called il Pettolino ... the very kind and even funny staff (in reference to the gentleman with the mustache and the flat cap) takes care of the customer impeccably ... very particular the appetizers in a typical box with 9 places for appetizers and good first courses (cheese and pepper with cruschi peppers and cavatelli with turnip cream, breadcrumbs and sausage) We were lucky enough to choose a table for 2 with a beautiful view over the city of Matera which certainly deserves a very high rating ... the cuisine made of typical cheeses and typical products is very tasty ...

10/10Arrived late yesterday evening Matera, we look for a restaurant in which to dine despite the time is at the limit. The guys from Il Pettolino welcome us with truly exceptional availability, education and friendliness! The restaurant inside looks really good, furnished with attention to detail and in a way to convey a feeling of familiarity. Last but not least, we eat from God. Very good Matera bruschetta, but what made me lick my mustache were the orecchiette with pezzente sausage and cardoncelli. We can only recommend it to everyone!

7.5/10The sharing boards full of little bowls were fun and generally the food was of good quality although some dishes stood out more than others. Service was fine, fairly friendly and some very good off, inexpensive and off menu wine recommendations. Felt slightly quiet and cold even though most tables were full. Could do with some music or something... would still recommend!

10/10Outstanding food and service, the menu was only in Italian so we relied on the waiter to translate- he was fabulous, he took lots of time to explain the choices and which wines would go best. The food was amazing, the initial antipasti platter, would be my recommendation. The salted cod and beef with truffles were also excellent. We finished off with chocolate cake and millefeuilles filled with creme patisserie or Nutella. Really excellent local food at a very reasonable cost.
