10/10Il Vecchio is without question one of my favourite restaurants in Tenerife, and quite possibly the very best. From the moment you arrive, every detail contributes to a refined dining experience: the attentive staff, the welcoming atmosphere, and a kitchen that consistently excels. The open view into the kitchen is captivating, offering a glimpse into the precision and artistry behind each dish. To dine here is not only to enjoy exquisite food, but also to appreciate the craft and passion that goes into each bite.

6.5/10We were a group of five; 3 adults and two children aged 14 and 11 years. On arrival (delayed due to problems obtaining a taxi) we wanted to enjoy a cocktail and a drink in the seating area and order our food whilst having a drink. Not possible to order food whilst away from the table. We made our way to the table to order. Our recollection of Il Vecchio from years past was of a quality eatery and very relaxed service creating the feeling that the customer was very much the focus. We ordered a variety of main courses and found the staff unable to accommodate any change to the meal ordered. The most amusing aspect came when I tried to order fries with my meal to be told that I wasn't allowed fries. They were only available to under 12 year olds. The only way around this was a farcical situation of having to agree to leave the fries in front of my 11 year old Son and take a couple at a time into my meal. The Chef is driving for Soles Repsol Suns forgetting the customer comes first.

Each recipe is created to reflect a specific culinary intention, and for that reason, we do not modify plates by adding ingredients such as cream, chicken, or others that would alter the original dish. This is not a matter of disregarding the customer, but rather a commitment to the integrity of our gastronomic proposal. As for our children’s menu, it is indeed created specifically for younger diners, hence the name. We aim to offer appropriate portions and flavors tailored to children, which is why certain items—like fries—are available only within that menu. 5.5/10Having been for a wonderful meal on Saturday we expected to enjoy our food this evening, but we’re disappointed by overly salty carbonara with very underdone pasta, not just Al dente, but chewy. My dinner partner’s meal was also less than expected in that the tomatoes were bland & the whole panzanella dish was disappointing.

10/10The staff were very professional & catered to our requests in a most efficient way. The food - we shared a whole turbot- was delicious and a real treat with vegetables & creamy mashed potatoes which were fabulous. The millefoglie dessert was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. A great place for a special night out. A bit pricey, but we’ll worth it.

6/10I booked on line got email confirmation, however when arriving was told quite rudely I had no booking? They blamed the booking app which does not appear to be joined up to the restaurant system ( a diary). We were told there were no inside seats, there were and these remained empty for the duration of our visit. We were sat outside which was cold and when the food arrived it went cold very quickly. Quite a disappointing experience all in.

9/10The food was amazing. The Tuna and the Sea Bass were exceptional. The Confine pasta was subline. Their take on traditional Tiramisu is a must. Do not miss this dessert.

8.5/10On arrival we were told that they had our reservation for two people and when I said it was for three she confirmed that in her reservation book the table was for two but she would fit us in. When I showed her our Fork reservation she just said oh the reservation must be incorrect! After that, the service was impeccable with interesting though, in my view, very expensive food.

7/10Always used to head for this restaurant . Some of the staff are the same but the menu leaves not a lot of choice and the prices have changed significantly . Wine list is over complicated and quite expensive .

10/10From the moment we entered to the moment we left, the staff made us very welcome. Food is fabulous and offers a good choice, with something for everyone. It's not your average restaurant so could be regarded as the place for a treat, but i would highly recommend Il Vecchio. This was my 3rd visit and all 3 have been great nights.

9.5/10The food was delicious and the restaurant and kitchen were spotless. You can see the food being prepared from the restaurant. At first sight the menu seems a bit expensive but when you see the high standards you realise that this is money well spent. A really classy restaurant and we loved it.
