We were late for our reservation as our plane was delayed. When we entered the restaurant the maitre d' SCOLDED us in a rude manner, at first I thought he was joking with us for being late. We should have called as we were 30 minutes late but he should have handled the situation in a more professional manner. We waited 15 minutes and he than gave us a table. Because of the way we were greeted and treated we probably won't return to Il Vero Alfredo, especially with the many restaurants in Rome. Thank you for your time! Diane Rocco

The fettuccine are good as always, the room is quite noisy and the black and white photos are a bit sad....from another time. The service was a bit annoying with the waiter repeating too many times "fettuccine" to attract attention. The artichoke salad was in the menu, but not available...Almost only tourists and the price was too high....

We had a wonderful meal seeking out the creation of Fettuccine Alfredo. The table- side preparation is special, and the meal was absolutely delicious. It was our favorite dining event in a 15-day Italian vacation. Great Tiramisu as well. Strongly recommend!

We ordered salad, the Alfredo and veal. It somehow took a while after salad for pasta to come. I had to reminder the waiter for the wine, she did apologize and said she forgot. Both the salad and the veal came in at the same time. It was good. I did mention a for mistake on the menu to a waiter to tell the manager and he said “ you went to school?” I did explain what they wrote is wrong and what the correct word it! If they don’t change it not my problem though I wonder how long this menu been in circle and no one noticed?

I think that anyone who likes pasta cannot miss this legend that is Il Vero Alfredo. The dish that gives the house its name is very good. Unfortunately, the service is one of those in which the restaurant is more important than the customer. Your opinion of where you want to sit, with the restaurant still empty, doesn't count for much. It's worth the table the waiter wants you to sit at. It reminds you of the times when the teacher would tell you which table would be at school. The atmosphere is elegant. The dish is ready in minutes, reminiscent of fast food, but don't miss it. Because of fame, the price is honest.

We all loved it! The waiter was really nice, the Fetuccini Alfredo delicious!! My daughters had veal scaloppine and also loved it! I was here 25 years ago with my father and wanted my family to try it.

Maitre’d was very rude. I was early which was not allowed and he told me to go outside and have a drink. Then he had my reservation for only 2, instead of 4 and made me feel like an idiot. After a good meal, not great, I did show him my reservation and that I had made it correctly and he and then he was slightly nicer. He seemed very pleased to everyone else.

The impression I had was that we should order and eat soon because there was another reservation for after 1 hour. I didn't feel comfortable enjoying wine and chatting with friends. We were asked to order all the dishes straight away. The food left something to be desired. but it's not bad.
