A great find! We have been in Florence for three weeks and have been to Il Vivandiere twice. The menu is creative, unique (not traditional Florentine) and delicious. Service is wonderful. The ambiance is rustic and cozy. We come to Florence annually and will revisit for sure. Put Il Vivandiere on your list!

Really really good food. The service was friendly and competent but a touch slow, no big deal. We really liked it though.

This restaurant was everything we hoped for. Great food, old world ambience and a friendly and courteous staff. The Tapas and main dishes are all homemade so expect a little waiting time, which afforded us to enjoy the local wines. This is a true gem… we will be back!! Thank you Silvia!!!!!

Service was exceptional. Very nice wait staff. Food was mediocre. The pici with boar ragu was not that great. The orange ravioli was nice. The tapas were all good but nothing special. Based on other reviews my expectations were high and were not met.
6.5
The atmosphere is nice and the prices are great. The food, however, was average. Be careful not to over order as the portions are huge and service is quite slow.

The most charming little place, fantastic food, wonderful service, and an incredible experience overall.

Amazing little place we stumbled upon the day before. It looked very quaint and the food sounded amazing. It did not disappoint! We couldn't get in at a time we liked for dinner so went for lunch. The service was spot on and the staff very accommodating. They helped pick out a glass of wine that went perfectly with our pasta dish. I would not hesitate to go back and recommend this charming place to anyone. Food was out of this world good.

Elegant food in rustic setting. Loved the small plate options unusual for Italy. Close to Santa Croce on a quiet street, the house wine options were quite good and nice variety of small plate options allowed a lot of samples.

Authentic place, everything is homemade including the wine. The wine came at a perfect temperature. Also, the restaurant offers unique and delicious dishes. E.g., the spinach dumplings, and red tuna tartare.

What a wonderful dining experience! All of the food was great but the grilled octopus served with gazpacho was exceptional, as was the tagliata with pecorino and apples in a balsamic sauce. The wine list was extremely well-chosen and they have a number of impressive wines available by the glass. The service was superlative. Our waiter could provide detailed description of each dish and he was genuinely friendly.

Very Nice surprise! It was recommended by someone from Firenze and very happy to have heard of it. Nice cosy place, wine is great & cheap, food is original and really tasty.

A very congenial place. There are many tapas offered which is nice if you don’t want to eat too much and there were really good pork offerings which is a nice change from all the “bistecca”. The music was light and non intrusive. I would recommend it. It was easy to find.

So glad we found this little restaurant. Food and wine were superb. Lovely tapas to start with followed by pasta dishes then desserts. Excellent value

We thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, peaceful dinner there in a lovely area of the city. We had the ravioli and gnocchi as well as the pork and tiny meatballs and also roasted potatoes. That was plenty for two, followed by the sinful double chocolate mousse. One of our favorite meals on this trip to Italy. Don’t hesitate to try it for a change of pace.

Our favourite restaurant in our three day stay in Florence. Beautiful food, friendly service, lovely ambiance and exceptional value. Highly recommend!

The service was fabulous, our waitress was congenial and attentive. The dishes are the perfect portion size for food packed with such robust flavor, each flavor note creating a symphony in one's mouth. Our meal culminated with a heavenly lemon tiramisu, which elicited an unheard of remark from my companion that "this is the best I've ever had, let's have another."

Been here twice in the past 1.5 years. Always seem to do the tapas. Great food, wine and service. Rustic Chianti decor. A place where we will always come back for casual, rustic late night fare.

What a great - slightly off the beaten path find in Florence. Food was exactly what we were looking for, pork fillet was great and ravioli was amazing. Thank you!
