We had dinner at ilo restaurant from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. such a long time and most of the time we were just sitting there waiting for the food. I can feel the innovation of the dishes.

The experience here is more than expected. Also, the food is so creative and easy to accept. Overall, this is where I would like to come again.

In my reservation, I clearly said no porc. However, our first dish entree is still with porc. After I emphasized it again, all they did was just removing the porc instead of offering an alternative choice. I can't believe it that such kind of things happened in a restaurant with a star. For the plat and dessert, I felt like no more than something from an overpriced Japanese comic events, boring and average.

Pretty mediocre food for the price. The skewers are fine but the ramen dish had too heavy of flavor, the miso flavor is repetitive across different dishes, the white boar steak was gamey and the in house bread was just okay. The cod was pretty good and very fatty. The desserts were interesting too, with refreshing truffle ice cream and peppered chocolate. However they couldn't save the entire experience. Some might like the fact the kitchen is open but I just don't like walking out of a restaurant smells like kitchen. Overall an okay experience but doesn't deserve the price.

The best restaurant ever. The entrée was incredible and the service was truly top-notch. The place has such a warm, atmospheric vibe, and the cuisine is a beautiful fusion of Japanese and French flavors. They basically change the menu every month, and since we visited twice in one month, the host even prepared a few special dishes just for us — which was such a thoughtful surprise. Absolutely loved it.

Highly recommend, 100% delicious! The place is small but very cozy. The food is really amazing with nice seasonal selections. It is better than some Michelin star restaurants regarding flavor.

The four of us enjoyed every course of the prefix. A couple of us did the wine sake pairing which were wonderful choices that elevated each dish. Multiple smaller dessert courses are like they do is something I want at every restaurant now. the restaurant seats 16 people and they handle it well, but if you're looking for a more refined ambiance you will need a bigger space. I personally love the feeling of the space. It feels authentic, like family restaurants I've been to in Tokyo.

Petit restaurant with 16 seats. The good: extremely creative fusion menu with Japanese ingredients like yuzu and ume in unique flavor combinations like ume infused udon. Everything was perfectly prepared. Service by the two folks working the tables was excellent, and they managed to skillfully navigate the mix of French and English throughout the diners. The bad: nothing.

The presentation is nice but the taste is not always at par. Generally, a good experience but would not return since we had a more memorable experience with other similar restaurants in town.

all well qualitywise food and service, just despite the fact we eat starter till desert, we are hungry after two hrs, portion should be bit bigger than actuel. thank you, regards, Sri

We had a wonderful evening celebrating two birthdays at Ilô. The food and service were exceptional. The restaurant is small and intimate and the staff are very attentive. We had the 7 course tasting menu with the paired wines - it couldn't have been any better. Thank you. We have already recommended the restaurant to friends.

My friend and I arrived a bit early than our reservation but they had a table open and we were seated when we got there. We had the tasting menu that’s available on a Saturday and loved every bit of it. The waiter was super informative and personable with us and the food served. Definitely an awesome treat if you’re looking for a cool blend of Japanese and French food! Thanks for the experience!

I had the 7 courses menu with the sake/wine pairing. The food was amazing with a mix of many flavors, sometimes surprising, tasty and the food presentation is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the selection of sakes. The service is great with the right timing between the dishes. It had been a great discovery and I will definitely go back

This is a place you go for the food, and the food is unique, fresh and delicious. The chef is right there preparing things fresh. The restaurant itself is very very small. The service is good and too the point, you will be served by an excellent waiter that is great with wine knowledge and will get things right and get you anything you need. The menu changes every two weeks , so I’d return that oftren for a really nice creative healthful meal that makes you feel good too.

Super food and super service! We brought a stroller and a dog and though there was so little space, they made room for us all. Great wine pairing too. We highly recommend the place and will be happy to visit again (without the stroller😅)

The food was delicious, service excellent, and a pleasure experience this restaurant. The only drawback is that the stairs to the rest room is narrow.

Excellent quality, friendly and knowledgable staff, and creative menu. They should consider improving the ventilation of the room; specifically, the evacuation of the kitchen fumes. One can leave the place very satisfied but the clothes may end up smelling quite bad. At that price point is not acceptable.

We spent a super nice moment for the birthday of my boyfriend. The atmosphere is very good even though the restaurant is small. The dishes are just amazing, highlight would be the staff which has impressive knowledge of sake and gave us very insightful explanation of different sake. Totally recommend!
