Quite simply the best Indian restaurant in Holland. I've lived here for over 30 years and being British i like to think i know a wee bit about Indian food. Been to The Maharani many times now and have enjoyed every visit immensely. Just enjoyed the best lamb madras i've had in a long time and the tandoori prawn masala is to die for! It may seem a little bit pricey but you pay for quality, and when you get all the delicious extras they bring to your table with your meal it is actually very reasonable. Great service and attention to detail on top of the fine wine list (and very generous measures of alchohol with the irish and italian coffes we had too)! Will always be the only Indian restaurant i will go back to here in Den Haag.

Food quality was great and portions were generous. Service was excellent. A bit more pricey than other Indian restaurants in The Hague and Amsterdam, possibly because of the service and the quality of the food.

I went to Indiaas Restaurant Maharani with a friend on a Monday evening, and it was very busy, likely because of the holidays. The ambience was lovely and cosy, and although the tables were quite close together, it did not feel uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our drinks arrived quickly, but it took a while before we could order food, which was understandable given how busy it was. Once we ordered, the food came out fast. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and enjoyed it. The food was good and well prepared, but it is more adapted to a Dutch palate rather than being fully authentic Indian cuisine. That said, it is still tasty and something most people would enjoy. The 30% discount was a nice bonus, and overall it was a pleasant experience.

Great Indian dinner with my family! Coming together for Christmas we had - as usual - an excellent dinner in the Maharani restaurant. Food is delicious and very authentic always reminding us to our visits to India. The staff is very attentive, friendly and advising their guest very well on food and drinks. We always enjoy eating there and will be back soon.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Indian dishes and, overall, the experience was enjoyable, though not perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. The service was friendly, but there was one issue. When my husband ordered the chicken madras, the server did not mention that it was extremely spicy, and this was also not noted on the menu. This was disappointing, as it is important to know these details in advance. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, which was very tasty and well prepared. The main dishes came with two vegetable side dishes, which was a nice addition. The prices were reasonable, especially with the Fork discount. However, the drinks were quite expensive, as a bottle of sparkling water cost 7.5 euros.

What a change from the last time we came. Service and food quality was upped and the whole party enjoyed the meal and great service from Luke. If any constructive feedback, my wife felt the chicken curry could have had more chicken in it. ;)

We were recommended to visit Maharani by a friend and it lived up tk thw recommendation! The staff was very attentive, fast and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious!

The food was absolutely delicious. One of the very best Indian meals I can remember. Nice wine and friendly and efficient service overseen and choreographed by the owner. The content and character of every dish was explained as it was served. Quite expensive but in an expensive street in The Hague…. But worth it!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were treated to an exceptional level of service and hospitality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent, and everyone in our group agreed that it was great. A special mention must go to the staff, who were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made us feel welcome. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food and service.
