9/10Food quality was great and portions were generous. Service was excellent. A bit more pricey than other Indian restaurants in The Hague and Amsterdam, possibly because of the service and the quality of the food.

8.5/10I went to Indiaas Restaurant Maharani with a friend on a Monday evening, and it was very busy, likely because of the holidays. The ambience was lovely and cosy, and although the tables were quite close together, it did not feel uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our drinks arrived quickly, but it took a while before we could order food, which was understandable given how busy it was. Once we ordered, the food came out fast. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and enjoyed it. The food was good and well prepared, but it is more adapted to a Dutch palate rather than being fully authentic Indian cuisine. That said, it is still tasty and something most people would enjoy. The 30% discount was a nice bonus, and overall it was a pleasant experience.

9.5/10Great Indian dinner with my family! Coming together for Christmas we had - as usual - an excellent dinner in the Maharani restaurant. Food is delicious and very authentic always reminding us to our visits to India. The staff is very attentive, friendly and advising their guest very well on food and drinks. We always enjoy eating there and will be back soon.

8.5/10The restaurant offers a wide variety of Indian dishes and, overall, the experience was enjoyable, though not perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. The service was friendly, but there was one issue. When my husband ordered the chicken madras, the server did not mention that it was extremely spicy, and this was also not noted on the menu. This was disappointing, as it is important to know these details in advance. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, which was very tasty and well prepared. The main dishes came with two vegetable side dishes, which was a nice addition. The prices were reasonable, especially with the Fork discount. However, the drinks were quite expensive, as a bottle of sparkling water cost 7.5 euros.

9/10What a change from the last time we came. Service and food quality was upped and the whole party enjoyed the meal and great service from Luke. If any constructive feedback, my wife felt the chicken curry could have had more chicken in it. ;)

9.5/10The food was absolutely delicious. One of the very best Indian meals I can remember. Nice wine and friendly and efficient service overseen and choreographed by the owner. The content and character of every dish was explained as it was served. Quite expensive but in an expensive street in The Hague…. But worth it!

10/10From the moment we stepped through the door, we were treated to an exceptional level of service and hospitality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent, and everyone in our group agreed that it was great. A special mention must go to the staff, who were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made us feel welcome. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food and service.

10/10We had a wonderful experience at Maharani while celebrating my parents’ thirtieth wedding anniversary. Although the food took a bit of time to arrive, it was well worth the wait—each bite reflected freshness and care. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary vegetables and rice refills without even having to ask. The menu also featured unique dishes not commonly found at other Indian restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening a real delight.
