6.5/10The food is of good quality and nicely flavoured, nice waitress to table, pleasant and personable. This evening the service was unacceptably slow, 2.30 hours before main course arrived. Excuse given ‘Ramadan’ - management must plan for these things. Will give this restaurant a miss for a few months. A real shame.

Unfortunately you did experience a slower service tonight. The excuse is justified as Ramadan/iftar did make an impact today in the kitchen. We are extremely sorry. 5/10The food was average and overpriced. We order mix non platter for which we got 5 small pieces of meat, doesn’t justify the cost at all. We understand the concept of fine dine but the quantity and quality is below average. Overall would go again.

Our team also provided attentive service, including refilling your water promptly. Regarding the mixed starter, it is meant for one person, so sharing naturally results in a smaller portion. We understand that taste and ambiance are personal preferences, and while we take pride in our food and service, we recognize that Mayur may not have been the right fit for you. 10/10We started with a nice cocktail aperitivo in the bar lounge and had afterwards the 3 course menue which was delicious. Great place for 5 at the window and very friendly service. We enjoyed the evening.

7/10The sampler was good but I expected the tandoori’s to be a bit larger pieces and also the lamb in the curry dishes could have had more lamb pieces. The rice pudding and the salt lassi were good

10/10Where to start! We were greeted by name when we entered and were warmly welcomed. The ambiance in the restaurant was perfect. The staff were friendly and impeccably dressed. The cleanliness was perfect. The service was excellent! Timely but not rushed. The food was beautiful, heel lekker!

+5Mayur Indian Restaurant is in the museum district of Amsterdam just a block away from the Rijksmuseum. I have been going here for almost 10 years. The owner, Manu, always remembers me and gives me a warm welcome that makes this place feel, to me, like more than just a restaurant. The welcome is genuine. All the servers are friendly and helpful. I would call this an upscale Indian restaurant. It is absolutely beautiful inside with mood lighting set to a level that creates a classy and good vibe. If it is warm enough, I’d recommend sitting outside for great people watching. GoPol was my server during my most recent visit. He recommended the 'old Monk drink' made with traditional Indian Rum. It looked like an old Fashion and was pretty good. GoPol brought out the traditional rice cakes with 3 dips: pickled spicy, yogurt mint, and sweet mango puree. This comes with every dinner and it is a great, light way of getting your taste buds ready for a great meal. It was a bit cold outside, so I ordered the chicken soup. It came out hot with fresh chicken pieces, but it was a bit bland for my taste. The Jambo prawn appetizer, shrimp dipped in yogurt and tandoor sauce, was delicious. For the main course I ordered butter chicken, which I have had several times over the years. It comes with a very light basmati rice. As usual, it was tasty and delicious, especially with the cheesy garlic naan. If you are visiting Amsterdam and want a nice meal in a beautiful setting with great people, visit Mayur. They have consistently earned a 5-star rating from me.

10/10This might have been the best meal on my trip to Amsterdam. The tasting menu was amazing and let us sample everything of which I found everything amazing but the Spicy Lamb was another level. The service was terrific and the the ambience was also great. The special cocktails like the Mayur were out of this world. I would 100% go back here on my next visit from NYC.

10/10We were group of 9. I didn't know that I can't go for ALA carte but nevertheless food was good and service was good. Generally I'm not big fan of baingan bharata but it was excellent. Of course taste has changed to meet global audience test so it's not spicy but it is still good.

5/10We were very hungry and we were excited about the restaurant, because they told us that it was the best restaurant in Amsterdam, but for us we found it to be the worst Indian restaurant in the world. As for the service, it was good, but the food was delayed a lot, about an hour. As for the atmosphere of the restaurant, I did not like it, but it is generally good. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not come to it again.
