Why don’t time lovely seating area? We are vegetarians and we had the vegetable korma which was absolutely amazing. Fresh vegetables no frozen food. Excellent service. Would recommended.it

We have been going to this restaurant every year when we visit Portugal on holiday … the welcome is always warm and the cooking is first class. The menu has a bit of everything, but mainly offers a fusion of contemporary cooking along with traditional curry dishes. All the popular traditional curry dishes are there but they will also cook a bespoke meal just for you - we normally ask for a chicken dish, a lamb dish and one of chef’s own choice (asking them to spice them all about ‘Madras hot’) … in fact all the dishes on the menu can be prepared to different heat levels of your choice. The experience is always excellent and it is our ‘go to’ restaurant in Ferragudo such is its quality and the delicious nature of the food! I have had the joy and privilege of travelling widely for my work, eating around the world including Michelin-starred restaurants and Indigo’s food is at the very top of that pile … truly wonderful food, prepared and served by truly wonderful people!

The staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. We requested a couple of side dishes that were not on the menu and they cooked them for us. The food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Lovely place with some delicious signature dishes made by the Chef, really enjoyed Prawn Indigo. Welcoming and efficient service and great setting. One of the nicest looking Indian food places I’ve been to.

We have a home in Lagoa and have eaten at the Indigo before. The meal was actually good and we were enjoying the evening. However, during the meal I had asked for Mango Chutney to accompany my food. A tablespoonful was provided. When the bill arrived we were charged €4 for the chutney. I queried the charge and the waitress just smiled and shrugged her shoulders. I said it was unacceptable but she walked away. This is such a petty way to treat a customer and had I been told of the charge when I asked for the chutney I would have refused it. We will not be returning to the Indigo, there are other Indian food restaurants in Ferrogudo. I will not accept such petty service.

The food was excellent. We had a mix of milder and spicy dishes. They were all great. We had rice and naan and all was tasty, cooked super quickly and served by the friendly team. The only thing that would have made it perfect was some aircon as we were very hot. Highly recommend.
