This was my third visit to Insieme, and it remains my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. The food is Sardinian — a more refined version of the typical Italian fare. Service is impeccable— warm but not intrusive. There are ample a la carte choices, or you can splurge on a multi course chef’s surprise. (It’s not even a big splurge. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food.)

I was charged 6 Euros here for using an American credit card. I was charged for a bottle of mineral water that I hadn’t ordered. The prices are high and the food pretty mediocre. All in all, it turned out to be an expensive meal that just wasn’t worth it.

We had a three course meal, one steak and one vegetarian main course. Both were excellent quality and imaginatve food (though pricy, but no more so than was to be expected). Staff were professional and friendly. Well worth visiting!

The food was great but the waiter was not able to tell us what would be on the set menu or the shared starter because it will be a surprise. Discount was confusing and credit card charge at the end was a bit unprofessional.

What a pleasant surprise. A welcoming family owned southern Italian gourmet experience in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone at the restaurant made us feel at home - in their home - and experience authentic Sardinian Italian cuisine that are clearly derived from family recipes. Would definitely return - was a memorable experince .... well done.

The service staff makes this a very inviting place from the moment you walk in the door. We shared three items from the menu and all were outstanding in food quality and presentation. Our waiter was always attentive and helpful. We will be returning before we leave Amsterdam on this visit.

Michelin-level experience and we came with our family of 6 and had the most magical experience. Prix-fixe menu was incredible. À la carte, was also dynamite. My children, ages 6 and 9, are not the most adventurous eaters and the chef created a traditional spaghetti dish for the children (they ordered 2 extra helpings!). Bravo for this intimate, incredible experience

We were here for NYE so it was a special menu. Never here before but the quality of the food was excellent and the service was friendly and accommodating. I thought a pretty good value for NYE and would definitely come back. Highlights were the polenta appetizer and the homemade pasta was excellent.

Staff were surprisingly rude and perhaps even cruel. I was not feeling well do to it being my first time traveling out of the U.S. The waiter was mad I couldn't finish my meal and refused to let the rest of the table order desert until I was done. He physically snatched the menu out of my hand so fast it left a small burn.

Awesome & authentic! We had fantastic meals and great wine. As starter shared an “Antipasto per 2”: various small and traditional bites - tasty. For mains the “Maccherini di bus” (a ‘long maccaroni’ with ragu) and “Coscia di anelio” (lamb + polenta): both portions not too big, but absolutely superb, tender and mouthwateing good! Didnt have desert.. Will def be back!

What an awful start to our stay in Amsterdam… waiter had an awful attitude when he saw 8 guests instead of 10. I understand the booking was for 10 but was trying to charge us for two no show guests when the restaurant was empty. Also no show costs are only applied when nobody shows up as he mentioned when he rang to confirm the booking. His attitude was so terrible we wanted to leave especially as he didn’t have any card details on hold. What a real loss that would have been!!! Not only were we met with attitude … waiting for our food was 2hours!! Just an awful experience!! Don’t go!

The restaurant has potential. We had the four course chef’s menu. The starter of seafood salad was disappointing. The meat pasta and pan fried fish that came after were the best of the four courses. Dessert was ordinary. Still , I give them 8 of 10 for the commendable effort to give good value for price and for being so friendly and hospitable in their service.
