An intimate and fun experience and the food was absolutely incredible. The restaurant is small so service was personal and fast. I cannot recommend the beef carpaccio enough, but of course the cacio e pepe from the cheese wheel was the star of the show! Will definitely revisit and highly recommend.

Excellent food and presentation - pasta served in pecorino cheese was both fun in its theatre at the table and delicious; also the tiramisu was to die for. But the meat selections and cooking were wonderful. Interesting ambience in the lower ground floor space.

The service was fantastic-very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious and prompt. Ambiance was fun-you walk down a short flight of stairs from street level into the restaurant. And it felt like dining in a wine cellar with stone and plaster ceilings. Fun restaurant to pop into if in the area of St Peter’s/Vatican. Just a short walk away.

This place is so good! We went twice, at lunch and dinner, and both times were so so so so good!!! For lunch, we ordered the beef carpaccio with cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan cheese for a starter, fettuccine with white ragú and truffle for a first course, and the trio of fried meatballs as a small second course. For dinner, we did a full three course meal. We ordered “the rack” for a starter (an IMPRESSIVE amount of meats and cheeses that are SO GOOD), then the tonnarelli cacio e pepe served in pecorino cheese (OMGG SO GOOD), and finally, Uruguayan black angus slice cut steak (A+!!) and sliced sirloin (WOW). We were so full!!! Everything was SO GOOD!!! I don’t know how else to describe it! They have a meat counter inside, and this man was chopping up a huge rack of meat as we ate (SO COOL). Its walls are lined with bottles of wine and decorated with corks. The vibe is unmatched!!! I wish there was one where I live, but I’ll just have to come back to Rome to eat here again!!

This was our favourite restaurant experience in Rome. The service, food and wine was just perfect. The white ragu pasta which was recommended was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. The bistecca was also amazing. An absolute gem and great value for money.
