Our favourite Italian restaurant in Faro, the staff are excellent, the food is the highest quality, cooked and presented superbly. A fantastic menu which never fails to provide something different. A truly wonderful dining experience, thank you.

We enjoyed our meal at Italian Republic Faro however I would have to say that the service was quite relaxed and we kept having to ask someone to come over if we wanted to order more drinks. There was no check-ins. The food was lovely and good for the price - with the 30% discount.

Lovely Italian tucked away in a square in Faro old town. Worth the extra 5 mins walk from the main old town area! Outdoor area has a nice ambiance. Food was tasty, portion size was perfect allowing enough room for there delicious profiteroles !!

I was in Faro for 4 days and ended up eating here three times — that’s how good it was! The food is seriously amazing: super fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is really nice too, relaxed but with a great vibe. Each time I went, everything was spot on — from the pasta to the desserts. The staff were lovely and made me feel really welcome. If you’re in Faro and in the mood for Italian, don’t miss this place. Highly recommended!

The carbonara was out of this world. Garlic pizza bread was good. The garlic shrimp spaghetti was ordinary. We saw another couple with a puffed up calzone type dish that looked awesome. Deserts were excellent. Very cool interior….there is a small square with fountain which in warmer weather would be great to sit outside with….Really enjoyed it - we’ll be back

We were only in Faro 10 days & determined to try lots of restaurants - and we did! However Italian Republic ended up with 4 chugs 10 nights! The risotto was better than the ones we had during our 3 weeks in Italy! Not only great risotto but a number of options! Also a couple of well priced daily specials. Service was great -.very attentive! The menu is much broader but we need to come back again to try out!

Amazing food, service and ambiance. The outside tables offer a lovely feel but the chairs are very uncomfortable so I would recommend sitting in. Would visit again in a heartbeat

It was fast and the food was delicious. ❤️ I asked for a highchair for a toddler and it was there ❤️ Nevertheless, as this is a "child/toddler/baby friendly restaurant" having highchairs is not enough. It would be a good idea to create a changing diaper station in the bathroom area as... well, sometimes they are needed.

The food is so delicious that we have both lunch and dinner at this restaurant in the same day. The girl at the bar is so helpful. We told her we may be late for the bus. She and the chef helped us pack our food really quickly. We finally hopped on the bus on time. Thank you so much!!! We really appreciate the great food and helpful staffs. Thanks a lot.

Very nice modern restaurant in historic basement of building. Spacious and perfect italian fod and service. Glutenfree options were present.
