The reservation process using fork went well. We were the first customers to arrive and it took ages to even get a menu. The service was dreadful, we waited ages for the first course and the second course took over one hour to arrive. The waiting staff were excellent at looking the other way and ignoring customers. Over 200 euro for three people (only one non-alcoholic drink each and no dessert) - a waste of money, we were just irritated and annoyed and could not enjoy the food due to dreadful service. We did point this out and did not receive any form of compensation.

Our visit (a group of four friends) to Itami was wonderful. We opted for a range of dishes, all of which were excellent - tasty, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and professional. We would recommend highly.

The place isn't cheap, but the food is great! We had a very nice and romantic time with my wife here.

As already for years, the food was gorgeous, the staff fast and very friendly and the refurbished place had a very pleasant cosy atmosphere. Will be back soon!

The most delicious sushi and teriyaki chicken and mochi ice cream, which you don't find in every Japanese restaurant..fantastic! . The service was excellent and the ambience was chill.

Good atmosphere, but the food is "adapted" for dutch standards, it is not authentically Japanese. Service is nice and careful, suitable for a romantic dinner

The food is always good, tasty and nicely presented. A delight for the taste buds and eyes. Due to the time restrictions there was some rush & service wasn't at its usual best, yet still friendly staff.

We had a 4 course dinner. Sashimi was quite good. Second dish was sushi which was fresh and tasty. The third dish was really regular and not exciting some prowns and lamb nothing really spectacular and the dessert was also quite a standard. We drank a dry sake which was tasty. The overall quality/price experience was a 3+ This is an individual and a subjective rating.

The staff is one of the best in Rotterdam and the food is always delicious. They refurnished the restaurant and we had a great dining night out. Much appreciated.

So overpriced for the mediocre sushi. They're trying to be a fancy sushi place without investing. For example, the chopsticks were not only disposable, but were the cheapest, most splintery chopsticks possible. The sashimi wasn't prepared cleanly, and still had some chewy fat on it instead of being smooth like sashimi should be. And all of this for almost 60 EUR to eat a very light meal that still left us hungry afterwards. Decent service, but I would tell people to avoid this place.

Great food, lovely service. Doesn’t look great on the outside but lovely inside. Very friendly service. We were there with our kids and all felt that it was a lovely evening

What a lovely food..! Forget all the 'all you can eat' places and go for some really good sushi..! Good and friendly personal and nice atmosphere. Don't forget to ask for the grilled 'coquilles' they're so good..! Adrian Brown

Itami is a really nice japanese restaurant, is not even comparable quality and service to the classic all you can eat. All food taste really good, fresh, beautiful presentation of dishes and very large selection of menu. Obviously you pay for that, but i would recommend to everyone! Better to eat less frequently sushi but in a good place like Itami

We really enjoyed the dinner. Everything was super fresh and we liked the special sushi from different regions of Japan. The fresh wasabi was a positive surprise - what you don’t get in a lot of Japanese restaurants especially for that price.. when we’re again in Fotterdam we’ll definitely come back!

Seriously the best dining experience I've ever had in Rotterdam! The service was phenomenal and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the sushi, sashimi and the lamb chops. The sauce was... OMG! Really highly recommend, my favourite Japanese restaurant in Rotterdam!

Nice restaurant in a good spot of Rotterdam, the staff is very welcoming, they are taking good care of their clients all the time. The quality of food is very good, we have chosen for 3 courses menu. We could compose our meal over many starters, main dishes and desserts available in the menu card. The place is worth visiting.
