8/10Very nice setting, but disappointed by half of the dishes. Lots of attention to detail and presentation, but the food was just not delicious. Quality of ingredients is very good, and food is prepared with care, but it just didn’t add up to a great experience.

3/10It is questionable if the cuisine this restaurant serves is actually Japanese. Every dish has the same sauce, the same taste. The place is falling apart, needs paint, needs repairs, needs clean napkins, needs ….. everything.

9.5/10Small and intimate Japanese restaurant serving great and different food. Mixtures of various meats and fish dishes on the tasting menu. All well presented and Greta tasting. A real find as presents a different type of Japanese cuisine to the more normal sushi bars here in Madrid.

10/10During my recent business trip to Madrid, I had the pleasure of dining at Izariya on my final evening. I opted for the Omakase set menu and I was absolutely delighted with my choice. The restaurant's atmosphere and ambience were nice, and the chefs and staff were all incredibly friendly and hospitable. The service was impeccable. In terms of the food, I feel it was among the best Japanese cuisine I've experienced in Europe. Even the wasabi and gari were very delicate. I don't want to disclose too many details of the dishes, so as not to spoil the dining experience for other customers. But I have to say Izariya is really good at using lemon and ponzu, which added a refreshing note to many of the dishes. I guess you would enjoy it if you like citrus. I would like to come back if I have the chance to visit Madrid again. Or perhaps visit a new Izariya location if one were to open in Munich.

10/10Amazing food and experience. The ambiance is authentically Japanese. It's a small restaurant with tables separated by wooden panels and it's perfect for catching up with friends, a private business lunch, or a romantic dinner. The tasting menus are incredible and well-balanced and the service is outstanding. The dishes and flavors are sophisticated and beautifully presented. I highly recommend it for a modern Japanese dining experience.

10/10We really enjoyed the night at Masahito-sans restaurant. The tasting menu was delicious, filling and versatile. Adding grilled unagi from the optional menu was a great choice, the wagyu was good but fell a bit short to the rest of the dishes. Kudos to the great team and we hope to be back soon (either in Madrid or any of his restaurants in Japan!). Arigato gozaimasu!

10/10Real authentic Japanese food in Madrid. I have tried many different Japanese restaurants in Spain and this is definitely one of the best. Especially, Tempura is amazing. I prefer their Tempura to any Tempura that I have tried in Japan!!

9.5/10We had a lovely dinner at Izariya yesterday and I highly recommend this place! We had Menu degustación(50) and added Anguila(15) and every dish was delicious and so cute. The service was wonderful too. I requested a birthday message for my partner, and they actually got us a really cute message in Japanese with a song also. The bar table looked cool too but we chose the "low" seat and it was very cozy, comfortable, and intimate. However, if you expect the quiet private place like the typical Japanese style, it could be noisy but it'll be only because of the group of people around your table. I would definitely go again.

10/10After dining at various 1 and 2 star Michelin restaurants during our ten day trip in Toledo and Madrid, we thought this was one of the two best meals we had (both of them carry no stars, which is actually a little surprising to us). Chefs here are all Japanese and the meals they serve is very authentic - we can attest to that having been to many Japanese cities ourselves throughout the years. We had the degustation menu and added wagu and a few other items, all of which are splendid. A very surprising find. 10/10.
