we didnt eat anything all day, as soon as we arrived we was helped nicely to our table, it looked amazing and a good ambiance, we didnt eat anything for the whole day both of us, so we ordered the seafood platter, came nice and quickly, the cocktails were amazing and freshly made, after that we ordered out main courses, the seafood pasta was really a seafood pasta how it is supposed to be and the kipsate was freshly grilled and charcoaled but what was best was the peanut sauce, the staff was quite amazed about our order and that we even finished it all, great place to come and would reccomend it to everybody

Food was bellow average, service a bit unmotivated. The room was too cold. The Location itself is very nice and if you like to hear load music during your dinner you will love the ambiente.

The atmosphere is gorgeous! Music, great service, design, colours, good treat for the senses. The cocktails were great and the food excellent. We could not stay for dancing after dinner, but it looks like a great option too! Great evening, thanks to all at Jack!

Food not bad even if it could be better for the price you pay but the service it's very disappointing. They are very kind but they don't have any clue of what "service" means. The restaurant was almost empty but had to wait for everything (I'm not considering the time needed for cooking, that's normal). Something very disappointing is the choice to not leave all the bottles (water, wine) on the table. That's ok if somebody keep an eye and fills the empty glasses. But if there's nobody doing it and you have to call the waiter or get up and take the bottle, it becomes annoying.

Well, the atmoshepere, location and the quality of the menu is excellent. But the service was just horrible. To order the dessert we waited 30 minutes and then another 40 minutes to get it. The seafood was delicious, desserts are not so recommended. The worst tiramisu of my life; lacking taste and too creamy, italians would see this as a curse.

Yesterday eaten at Opporto and much anticipated but ultimately it was a great disillusion! Starter I had chosen Sashimi, on the plate were three major forks on each fork wrapped a thick slice of salmon or tuna. No idea if the idea was that you should eat at the fork at one time but I pushed the fish of forks and further eaten with knife and fork. Not my idea of a beautiful sashimi. As a main course opted for the cooked mussels. When I asked the staff how the mussels are cooked, I was told, 'cooked'. I understood but I mean the further preparation, Provencal, white wine and cream, how are the mussels seasoned? She had no answer. Eventually, the mussels were tasteless, small and dry. I dit not finished it, it was really flavorless! After the main course, we got the dessert menu, only the ‘dessert menu’ which was a dirty folded A4 sheet, Opporto must really be ashamed! one of our tablemates asked the waitress for a dessert wine, here the lady had never heard of it and she did not think there was a dessert wine on the menu .... After she checked on the computer for 10 minutes she told us that they indeed do not serve dessert wine. The only dish that one of my four tablemates does have enjoyed was a nice copper pan with Cataplana Royal but if this one dish was the excessively high bill worth .... no! Bad food, bad service, never again !!

Beste Proever, Wat ontzettend jammer om te moeten vernemen dat jullie ervaring bij Opporto is tegengevallen! Ik begrijp uw recensie niet helemaal (lijkt vertaald te zijn), maar zou het op prijs stellen als u deze nogmaals in het Nederlands (of correct Engels) wilt plaatsen zodat we een gepaste reactie op uw recensie kunnen plaatsen. Reactie van proever: Beste Opporto, Mijn Engelse tekst is vertaald door een computer, vandaar de vreemde Nederlandse tekst. De Engelse tekst lijkt mij echter duidelijk. Op Facebook hebben jullie op mijn recensie al jullie 'standaard' reactie gegeven. In kort; de kwaliteit van het eten en de service van het personeel staat niet in verhouding met de hoge prijzen. De sashimi en mosselen waren zelfs zo slecht dat deze niet op een restaurant kaart thuis horen. Ik zal geen reservering meer maken, zeker gezien het grote aanbod van goede restaurants in Rotterdam.
