10/10Had a great night here, so had to return for another great night, and will return again on next trip over. Thoroughly enjoyable if you love music and a good time.

6/1010 out of 10 for entertainment. However, service was not up to standard on food. We had quite a long wait between courses. Plates were removed from table before we had finished our meal. We were charged for corkage on our 0% wine. Bottle was not opened by the staff and we had to repeat our request for an ice bucket. On the other hand , the regular wine we ordered was brought to the table with the cork removed.

10/10From the first initial meeting with the owner at the door it was fantastic. Shown to your table after an introduction, the service from the staff was fantastic. The food was high class and haven’t had that since a night out in London 10/10 . The ambience for a Tuesday night was brilliant and the atmosphere was impressive with the saxophone playing by Johnny. If you are ever in Albufeira on holiday please please please check this place out on party night as you will not be disappointed. Johnny , you and your staff made our holiday special.

It was the personal touch as you arrived, greeted you at the door, showed you to your table, plus his sax playing was brilliant, could not fault one bit of the experience, will definitely make a return visit when on holiday next time Food and service was excellent throughout the evening would definitely recommend it

10/10We had a great night last night! Jonny was so welcoming, entertaining and played fantastic music! This was followed by a music quiz which was also good fun! Food was delicious! Fantastic sized portions too!

10/10From moment got there ,warm greetings and smiles, waiter was a kind and helpful gem ,as were the owners who couldn't be more helpful with my wheelchair bound wife ,oh and the Sunday lunch was delicious 😋

10/10Welcomed the minute we arrived by Johnny. Food and service excellent. Really great atmosphere and everyone was having a great time. His sax playing and choice of music was great. All in all, a fantastic night. Fun music quiz and dancing finished off the night.

10/10What a treat! John and his wife are super hosts! It's just what the doctor ordered after a hard day touring the area. My wife and I heard about Johnny Hooper's so we decided to spend our last night in the Algarve there. Was not disappointed. The music was wonderful. The crowd was great. The food and service were wonderful. Even had a music trivia contest in between sets which our team won. You could even dance if you wanted. This was the highlight of our trip to the Algarve and want to thank Johnny and Sue for making it happen. Will be returning and have already told our friends who will visiting the area about Johnny Hooper's. Larry and Cheryl. .. two Yanks from. AZ.

10/10Such a fantastic experience. We were made to feel so welcome. The food was gorgeous. Johnny played something for everyone. Would definitely recommend anyone to go and spend the evening with Johnny and Sue .

10/10We had such a good night, we only stumbled across this and as it was our last night we thought we would try it for a few hours. What a great night we had food was lovely, did the quiz and didn’t leave early as planned 😂

9.5/10When we arrived Johnny came out and greeted us . This was our third visit to the restaurant so we knew roughly how it worked. The restaurant was almost full that evening. Waitress staff were friendly and efficient. We had a jug of tequila sunrise and a pina colada which were average prices and the food is good value and delicious. The mushroom in cheese sauce was very hot and tasty as was the beef stroganoff which I ordered. Someone had the steak which was cooked perfectly to order, fish was good too. Whilst we were eating Johnny started playing his sax with people clapping and playing tambourines that Johnny handed out. His repertoir is extensive and he plays so well, getting people to join in and enjoy themselves. After about 50 minutes Johnny took a break and then we had the music quiz. Later Elvis came in and sang but I'm afraid he let the evening down a little. I don't know if Johnny played after that as we had to leave early but a good evening was had by all. Thanks Johnny.

6.5/10The environment and entertainment is superb. Overall the prices were higher since I was there over month ago. The chicken livers were hard and unedible, the baked mushrooms were better last time I ate them and the twice fried chips were soggy. I also think €2.75 for a small beer is overpriced.

I do assure you that our prices have not changed at all since the very beginning of this year. On arrival we were met by Johnny himself who takes time to get to know his customers. He took time to show us his collection of Saxaphones and photos and share the stories behind them. Our meals were excellent, I really enjoyed the catfish. Johnny provided great entertainment and was followed by a very popular pop quiz. We had a really enjoyable evening in this great venue.

10/10We really enjoyed lunch on Sunday here. The food was delicious and the hosts, Johnny and Sue, were very warm and welcoming. A violinist played beautifully during lunch as well.
