Exceptional service. Very friendly, attentive and informative regarding the dishes. We got the dégustation menu. All of the dishes featured French dishes with modern spins. They were are delicious, and our general favorite was the mushroom and poached egg. The dessert was divine, and I won't say more about it to not ruin the surprise.

Sadly we were the only diners inside so no atmosphere which may also have influenced our review. Not as good as we hoped as the ideas didn’t work that well. Some nice flavours but nothing that made us go ‘wow!’ We’re not fans of smears of food across the plate or little jugs of sauce if they don’t add anything. More about chef’s skills than a tasty plate of food.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at jour de marche. The food was really excellent, and the waiter made us feel very welcome and spoke English. He was reassuring and made our experience even more enjoyable and relaxed, which is not always the case in France.

Refined and sophisticated without being stuffy or pretentious, we had an excellent lunch which was great value. The pork two ways was probably the tastiest pork dish I’ve ever eaten. I would definitely go back.

Took the 5 course tasting menu. Dishes ranged from too contrived to excellent. Some were trying too hard to have an innovative twist, but the final dishes were excellent both in quality and flavor.

Very innovative dishes in an intimate restaurant without breaking the bank. A welcome diversion from the very hearty bouchon-type cuisine we had experienced in Lyon, which although good food can be very filling and quite similar in nature across a lot of restaurants. Instead, at Jour de Marche there were two different types of set menus with a creative touch and the cooking was refined and beautifully presented.

Really enjoyed the food, multi course meal included desert. Wait staff was friendly and helped us with the French menu. Chef and wait staff were very helpful and accomidating with my wife's lactose intolerance by making special dishes for her.

Sophisticated French cuisine in a simple, very pleasant setting. We both though that the first courses and the deserts were absolutely top, whereas the main courses were a notch below and still great. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant which has an excellent "rapport qualité prix."

My wife and I had lunch here for our third wedding anniversary. The food was creative and beautiful for the eyes and mouth. I was amazed to eat this well for the price. This was as good as any meal that I have had in France, certainly the best food I have had in Lyon. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is well worth the visit. We went for a lunch while staying in Lyon.Food is of the highest quality and presented very. Inventively. Lunch is extremely good value for money.very small so I Would say booking essential. Excellent overall!

Very good modern twist to the traditional Lyon bouchon. To be even better the descriptions of the dishes could be a little clearer for international visitors. But the dishes send delivery were really perfect.

Our meal was really quite exceptional in the standard of preparation and presentation. The street in which the restaurant is located is unprepossessing but please do not let that put you off! The restaurant itself is charming, the service good and appropriately leisurely, and the food first rate. Strongly recommended. We would definitely revisit.
