The food is ok, good price-quality relation. The temperature of the place however was 10 C too low. Even next to a radiator, it was too cold.

The reservation went well and the service was a bit retro-active but decent. Major problem was the temperature in the restaurant space. As it was cold outside we were informed that the 3 radiators were only active after opening at 5 o’clock, which makes it impossible to reach a sufficient temperature for hours to come. Very sloppy and unthoughtful!

Good service, good appetizers, but very basic sushi. Very affordable, but nothing special, so this was a one time only visit for us.

We feel like home in a VERY japanese way. The waitress was very attentive and the food was amazing. The ambiance of the place was also fantastic! 10/10

Good food. Affordable. Smaller portions. Small and very busy restaurant. Good service, but unfortunately understaffed.

Charming restaurant with very friendly staff. The food was delicious and the sushi was really good quality.

Had a nice meal with friends and it's wasn't too busy so it wasn't too loud. However as it was quiet, it meant we had to keep calling the waiting staff when we wanted to order something, not a big deal but more so you are aware. Staff were friendly, food was good except for the tori karaage, didn't like that as much.

I really enjoyed the Japanese atmosphere and the quality of the food. Very close to the real japanese food. We had udon soup and it was really good! The price is in line with Amsterdam price around 30 euro per person for starter, udon and drink. Recommended.

Good choice, super nice and authentic meals, well located and very friendly & quick service. Best Japanese restaurant I‘ve tried so far in Amsterdam!

Hidden gem in Amsterdam for great sushi and Japanse flavors.

Good and fresh sushi and typical warm Japanese dishes, friendly service: hidden gem in toerist shopping district (negen straatjes). Yes we come again!

The menu says king crab California role. As this is rare i double check. Sadly the fake fish crab sticks show up instead. That spoils the rest. Uncomfortable chairs.

Great restaurant. Would go back and take my friends. We enjoyed every mouthful.

The food itself was fine, the service was too slow, it took forever to clean the tables and the prices were quite high. I reserved a table hours before and we got the worst table and just by asking got a better one after half an hour. It feels like this place aims for customers who are just coming once and then never again.

Amazing sushi!! The sashimi and nigiri was just perfect, you could tell the fishes and seafood were really fresh and of good quality. The starters we had (seafood tempura and gyozas) as well as the drinks (warm sake and white wine) were also good, but more on the okay side than amazing. Service was good and the atmosphere nice. Overall, a great experience, all thanks to the amazing sushi!

We enjoy eating at sushi restaurants frequently and, although unsure about sushi in Amsterdam, were very impressed with this place. Everything we ordered was served with generous portions of fish. Salmon nigiri had a generous piece of salmon on each piece, and the rainbow roll was outstanding, with lots of salmon and tuna. The shrimp tempura roll had bits of mango and sauce which was altogether absolutely outstanding. They also had a nice selection of Japanese beers, and I enjoyed my usual Sapporo. Whenever reviewing a sushi place I wait until the next day to be sure everyone is still feeling good, and so I can tell you the sushi we enjoyed yesterday at Kagetsu was fresh as well as delicious!

I go very regularly to Kagetsu for me remain one of the best in time especially i you consider quality/price. I am very fond of their starter the chicken gyoza are my favourite. Usually we continue with sashimi and different tempura. Last time I tried the chicken curry rice and I liked it. I definitely go back because I feel home.
