We expected a bit too much because of the previous reviews written. The place was not so clean, same as the ober/cook... very friendly but more like a snackbar than restaurant

I liked the restaurant and the menu choice. Lots of sateh, if you love sateh then this is the place to be ! Not the cheapest place but as far as I'm concerned: when the food is good, the service is good (and it was!), the host put a lot of effort in making us feel comfortable...then the price is not so much of a problem. I would definitely recommend this place !

Really valuable meal (I took the plate with all kind of Saté and ir was no problem to change the one type I didn‘t like. Also we could taste the wine in advance. The desert plate was also a highlight- and all for a really goog price. We could fully reccomend this place!

After all the glowing internet reviews I had high expectations, the experience was a letdown. The menu card not very clear, sauces at the dinner table standardized for the table and not the food ordered. Worst, part of the chicken sate undercooked and very little (if any) blessed with the sense and taste of the barbecue grill. The place gets busy but I am afraid that Leeuwarden lacks sufficient competition to get those glowing remarks about being the best sate in town.
