Really charming spot with a coastal vibe — the decor and ambiance are lovely. The food was above average and nicely presented, but unfortunately the service didn’t match. Our waiter barely acknowledged us, wasn’t particularly polite, and we had to wait over 30 minutes just to get the bill.

We absolutely loved Komodo Sushi Bar! Tiny, simple, yet very cool with a delicious menu and the loveliest staff. We went twice during our 3 day stay in Cascais and we will be going back for more when we visit next time!

Always the first choice when going out locally as a family - the food is fresh, with good quality ingredients and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Have been there many times and the food and service is nothing but excellent.

This is a small, very casual restaurant in a neighborhood of Cascais. What makes it special is the friendly ambience and the exceptional quality and elaboration of the food at a fair price. The owner is always there keeping a close eye on everything . They only have 8 tables so booking is essential.

Calm place with friendly service. The food is unfortunately the same as any banal Commercial Center Restaurant. I had for main dish the “Fushion Combinado”. It ended up being a poor one, Nothing new and shyly made. The price is there for overrated for this kind of “Japonese Restaurant”.

We love Komodo - excellent food and service is always friendly and relaxed. Food is delicious with very fresh ingredients. Love the Maguro Tataki (tuna and sesame seeds) and the ‘combinados’ sharing platters are an easy way to order a great selection for a group. It’s now a ‘not so hidden’ gem of a restaurant - only a few tables so worth booking to make sure you can get in.

Our first night in the area and Komodo was recommended to us. We had a fantastic time, the food was amazing, they catered for some of my boys stranger requests, and the service was fun and engaging. It’s a small place on a side street, but this makes it cooler.

The sushi here is really delicious. Try the crab bão and the mackerel dish with ginger and lime. Waiter was friendly and helpful.

My dining experience at Komodo Sushi Bar was a pleasant surprise. I was particularly impressed by the freshness and perfect temperature of the sashimi. The Duck Dumplings were exceptional and not to be missed. Additionally, the eel in the Chirashi was exquisite. It had a satisfying melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavour. A few aspects could have been improved to elevate the dining experience. For example, I would have preferred the green tea to be served more traditionally, with green tea leaves in a pot instead of a tea bag in a European-style tea cup. Another slight disappointment was the Spicy Tekka. While it was still good, it wasn't what I expected. It was a regular Tuna Roll with a spicy sauce on top rather than a proper Spicy Tuna Roll with a real kick of heat. Overall, if you're looking for a satisfying sushi meal with quality fish, excellent service, and some standout dishes, I highly recommend Komodo Sushi Bar.

Really good/fresh Sushi and Sashimi in a relaxed, unpretentious environment. Happy, friendly service. Happy customers. We will def be back to try more from the menu.

Lovely little restaurant with very decent neighborhood sushi. Staff were friendly, the decor relaxed and tut sushi came quickly. Parking can be a challenge.
