We arranged dinner at Kura by looking for unique and highly rated options on the Fork. And our fellow Fork aficionados didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed the sashimi tasking menu and everything was Superb! Sake options were solid and we very much enjoyed our meal.

Food was quite good and service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was not crowded when we were there and so we actually had space and time to ourselves. There was nothing special to highlight. It is an ok place to have a meal but I would not specially go there.

I go to Kura often but felt this time that the fish for the sushi didn't look very fresh. Since I'm Japanese, I might be a bit picky as my French friend didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with it. The total price for the non-alcoholic drinks (water, tea and coffee) of Euro 19.20 was a bit too much. They also either misunderstood our order for dessert or just forgot it, but it was probably better as the price must have gone up again.

Interesting dishes, I think can call it Japanese-French fusion. Food was good and service staff were friendly. Prices are a bit on the high side. Overall, we still enjoyed our time here.

Nice environment, food was good but we were expecting something more outstanding as it’s a real Japanese and price is of course not of a fast food. The highs: The amouse-bouche was awesome. The starter also and sashimi was very very good, great fish and well cut. But the main dishes disappointed - my main dish was sushi and it was just done ok. . Rice you feel it’s good quality, but was too “compacted” (pressed too many times, too long on sushi-mans hands). - my wife had a dourade with rice. Fish was very well prepared, rice not great. If returning I would not pay for the sushi - have only sashimi or maybe try a chirashi - or a sukiyaki that also looked good.
